Holding old man Fyfe for one more round... can't rage trade just yet.

Xerri, Stewart > Witts, Sicily
Fyfe will literally have to kick 4 goals a game to get a semi decent score there is no possibility at all its worth holding on to him hes not SC relevant.

Thinking of going hard and going early before going home.

Stewart, Jones, Marshall -> Daicos, JHF, Witts

Would prefer Young over Daicos but $1,000 short if I do the Marshall trade
Have Gawn already and just feel Witts really ties up my rucks. (Ratogloea in there as well - upgrade him to anyone in 5/6 weeks hopefully)

For those considering going a week early on Daicos:

i dont think he can be stopped

if you look at his possession heatmaps he covers the ground incredibly well and demands possession everywhere. if he is within 20 metres of the ball, he considers himself as being the player who should have next possession. collingwood also look for him constantly in this capacity

unless port assign a strong clamp like hawthorn do with maginess that can keep pace with him for 4 quarters and check him at every occasion, he will rack up possessions like its nobodies business.

He's a spud

I’m holding Jelly.

Going

Chesser, Stewart and Cunnington boosted to McKenna, Sicily and JHF.

Will wear the brunt of a rookie on field.

Sicily, Doc, Dawson, Ginbey, McKenna, Uwland (Wilmot, Cowan)
Laird, Bont, Kelly, Green, Hopper, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Hollands (Baker, Constable, Davey)
Marshall, Darcy (Madden)
Dunkley, Rozee, Taranto, JHF, Sheezel, Pedlar (Long, Greene)

No rookies really jumping out at me, will hold and reassess next week.

Thoughts?

Are you picking the Horne as a keeper

Would be a handy loop, but scored so bad last week.

Will be the classic out for a week, everyone trades, then he comes back and averages 70.

Will Brodie Unland dude hang around.
Looked ok.

Need a Sydney Clarke type tag on him. Genuinely think it is worth it, he contributes so much to that Collingwood fast paced offense. Will be surprised if teams don't fully commit to a very hard tag.

I'm going to trade him in and break him.

And you can't down vote this post, suffer in ya jocks kentie :moustache:

Voting Kamala Harris GIF by Joe Biden
this you 😎.

Hinkley gave some good insight on this last night on AFL 360. Most taggers are defenders or midfielders. Not easy to tag a half back. Essentially he said that they would look to go head to head with him by putting a dynamic half forward flanker on him.

Wilmot/Chessor/Cowan/Contstable/Bytel/Baker/Davey/Greene/Some other kent.

If one them gets dropped it'll be to FoShizzle.

If no one gets dropped, I'll consult my phrenologist.

He's a shit phrenologist but likes to play SC.

Changed my mind and ill go Jelly > Cogs now instead of JHF, and i'll move Mackenzie into M8.

I will think about a trade of Laurie > Michalanney too given i think he has decent job security and passed the eye test in round 1.

McKenna is high on my watchlist this round.

Boy o boy do i have some work to do to fix this absolute cluster**** of a team. In no particular order:

Have contemplated trading: Stewart, campbell, jones, hopper, ashcroft, hodor, fyfe, allen (Allen)
Like the look of/need to get in: Cheezel, N Daicos, De Goey, JHF, rachele, Dawson, setterfield, melbourne kid (chandler?), and the 2 guys who were my side most of preseason-Yeo and bowes

Can't do it all in one week, so leaning toward giving jones a reprieve. Worst case cope a rook score from wilmot and give myself another data point to select from yeo, bowes, cole, stocker and co. I do have 180k currently so a slight upgrade isn't out of the question next week.

Thinking:
Rd 1:
Stewart --> Naicos
Allen--> Sheezel

Gives me the best part of 300k in the bank and more time to properly set myself up for rd 2 (when half the blokes everyone trades out are likely to go nuts and the guys i like will suddenly look like spuds):

Jones --> Yeo/Bowes/Cole/Stocker
Fyfe --> JHF/rachele/similar
Hopper /Ashcroft--> JDG or similar

Hoping one or more of fyfe, hopper, ashcroft pull their finger out this round and start to look decent picks, but im not super optimistic. Might just say **** it and go greene to chandler (this round) as well, still tossing up.

Most of this has just been a vent/chance to put my thoughts on paper, but any suggestions or advice welcome and will be kindly considered.

First year back at SuperCoach for around 6-7 years.

What would be the best approach to get this shambles back on track?

It's not terrible. Trade Moore to Cogs imo. Next week just rookie corrections. Hunt and McLean could be downgraded to a good rookie to free up some cash if you wanted next week.
