Chasing last weeks points. Could score 60 this week. That’s the advantage of Round 1, you get another look before having to make your move.

Do you prefer Young over Daicos?

That’s the move I’ve made. Started the year with Young last year. Had him in my team for a large part of preseason before upgrading him to Stewart, so it follows with him out I go back to Young. Young won’t get tagged, plays in the Jake “Seagull“ Lloyd link player role, takes kick outs and is only 30 games in so on the up. I love Daics and he looks unbelievable, but he will surely be tagged eventually. I don’t have the same concern with Young and decent defenders are CD love childs. I’d be happy with either or both TBH, but gotta choose.

So, I generally don't give advice, as I'm not really a mainstream thinking fella, not sure why you would want to hear from me and while my slightly nuts approach seems to work for me, not sure how that translates to others.
Not interested in replying to lazy campaigners, or general run of the mill questions- how the **** would I know if thats a dumb idea ? ,only time will provide that answer.
If your looking for a different perspective I can maybe provide that if you can say what your aim/mantra is. Fair warning I'm not a math's Wizz or stats guru, and my ideas won't always work, I'm ok with that, I'll keep trying. Having fun is up there also,
There are a lot of better super coachers on here than me which you should listen to, cause the must have crap does my head in as well, but I do have a win every now and then. Was pretty happy on Sunday when some of my PODs saluted-made the first rnd a ****ing good one-irrespective of points

Using a boost to restructure my team.

Bruhn > Sheezel
Laird > Sicily via Constable
Clark > Daicos

Would like to give Laird one more chance but my backline was too weak with Clark at D2 and Jones at D3.

That doesn’t even make sense. It’s Sicily’s score vs Laird’s score. What line a player is sitting on is totally irrelevant other than the optics. Best 22 scores.

Not sure the number matters as much this year. A lot of decent players tanked. Look at the #1 ranked team. Going to be some massive shifts in the next few weeks.

How do you get them back if they score 120 this week?

If either of them manage to turn around 60% average scores, into two consecutive tons, then I would be happy to consider bringing them back in.

The fear is further falling behind the pack because you believe your knowledge of a players supercoach output is better than what they have demonstrated.

Clark has to go. Bruhn deserves another chance. However there is too many players I want in my team that were 50/50 decisions I missed out on.

Can't bring in Daicos, JHF, Sheezel, McKenna and Pedlar all in one week if they all continue their current form. Let alone anyone else I have missed.

Young scored 139 and 142 last year. Neither were against the Saints.

He‘s now scored a ton in 12 of his 34 games, including sub affected and initial rookie games.

Just saying.

It's highly reactionary of me but downgrading Dawson to Young just about sponsors a Cunnington to Coniglio upgrade.

In other words, I just wish that was what I started with. I know it's one game but as you say Young is an excellent choice. Hopefully Dawson does prove he's value as a SP at Docherty/Sicily levels.

I'm thinking of Stewart to Daicos too. Did you consider anyone else e.g. Rioli, Dawson, Ryan etc?

Daicos Young and Rioli would be my 3 to consider....

Jelly to De Goey (or JHF with some spare cash or Callaghan with lots of spare cash). But seems risky and that those inclusions I'd want to wait a week then just go sideways from Bruhn or Hopper.

So I'm leaning towards doing nothing and hoping my original thesis of Dawson being worth 600k plays out. 500k defenders there's some value in, that's all.

Bytel: if he ends up out 4 wks, changes things.
Fyfe: Does he have a dead cat bounce in him?
J Kelly: Odds on to miss 2 rather than 1?
Useful for rebalancing from MIDs to FWDs.

7 of the top 8 SC scores were the defenders and the other was the ruckman.
I'm not touching them at this stage.

The Saints were bombing the ball in long and the Freo defenders were playing keeping off. You can't see them scoring like that again this week.
