will be a Hawk, straight swap with some draft picks thrown in each way. The lure of home is too strong for Brockman with a young family.

DGB, at this stage, will stay at the club.

We will not trade up for Pick 1 and Harley Reid.

If Watson is available at Pick 3, take it to the bank he will be a Hawk.

Intention is to trade in to this years first round using our future first - Duursma or Caddy at this point in time.

type. A bit of noise around here already about BK, could it be someone else?

We have a stack to spend, more than any other club plus the cap is increasing. We’re in a great position overall.

Ok. So I have contacts at a few AFL clubs ( not us )
They have pretty much confirmed what RNL said a few weeks back . Then and even now from what they've heard .
Big play at a genuine AGrader ( not Duursma or the like ) pretty well down the path too .
They wont give me a name but happily will rule guys out .

I think people need to chill a bit . We are very proactive and even if we dont land a few we will next trade and after .
We are heavily into a few high pick trades too that arent far off .

Cant add more to that . Mckay ( Ben ) preferance is to stay in Melbourne so if he heads north of the border its purely for $$$ and we dont need someone motivated by that anyway.
Im told its still 50/50 as of early today anyway

Contracted and doesn’t want to leave. Club have told him he’s not going to be traded at this point, but he knows 2024 is big.

Correct SYL - a massive pre season coming up for Shaggy

Spoke to him before the PCM - had his exit interview and asked Sam where he would be played in 2024 - Sam told him that the club see him as a forward, so he is going to be working on his forward craft over the off season.

Derm is at this stage going to be his mentor and assist him with his forward craft as well.

Also, lots of people saying he wants to head home or be traded back to Perth - he's settled in Melbourne and really enjoys it here and has no inkling to return home.

Things are always fluid but ideally head of development Andy Collins believes DGB can become a versatile tall who can play either end of the ground.
