I agree, but Harrison has more media power (and bias)Robert’s has had the better season (left column while Harrison is on the right).

Darcy Wilson, Ollie Dempsey and George Wardlaw are probably the front runners atm with the top 2 suspended. Roberts is probably 5th or 6th as they think McKercher's touches down back in a loosing cause are better than Roberts high DEI agree, but Harrison has more media power (and bias)![]()

Yeah I don’t mind Dempsey, very skilful/smart player… could make a late run?Darcy Wilson, Ollie Dempsey and George Wardlaw are probably the front runners atm with the top 2 suspended. I mean we are talking that all of the top 5/6 are within 1 good game of each other so its basically the best post bye player that will win the award. Think Roberts with Mills returning and also the Swans gearing up for Finals may mean his role is poor not allowing him to win it. I reckon McKercher will get it because his role is most secure once he comes back from his foot injury to just rack up 25+ dirt touches a gameYeah I don’t mind Dempsey, very skilful/smart player… could make a late run?

He was likely that price because Reid was considered a shoo in. I think the whole market will be entirely recalibrated. He was $41 before last night , no market up atm… yep great game last night but you’d think he’d still be at least $15-$20? Good value, as is Harrison I reckon.

Yep ur right but he’s in the wheelhouse of the biggest media backed club.Nah..
I'm not quite sure why you're fixated on him (is it because he just got nominated?) but he's only played 6 games, a few of those very, very quiet and one or two sub appearances I believe. If you want to look at hyped Victorian players, Dempsey and Wilson are streets ahead before you even consider someone like Sharp who is having a massive year for Freo.

I understand that but Harrison isn't even the best rookie at Collingwood which is my confusion about your focus on him.Yep ur right but he’s in the wheelhouse of the biggest media backed club.
I remember Cal was way off the pace in his 1st year but 1 or 2 good games and Gerard on 360 said he was his pick to win the RS … I jumped on to Sportsbet and put $50 on him at $21… rest was history
Media & groundswell play a big role unfortunately.

Nah..

I could have sworn he got a nomination this year.Sharps been good, but is not eligible both by age (this is his 5th season) and games
Well there you go. Sharps . Sharp played for Gold CoastSharps been good, but is not eligible both by age (this is his 5th season) and games
They are becoming a very formidable side. I guess we have entered the 2020s and they are due for their "Premiership every decade"Ummm
The Hawks can be the Blues, Giants of 2024
After starting 0-5, Hawthorn's win over Adelaide on Saturday marked its fourth victory in five games, and fifth in seven, with one of those defeats the late capitulation away at Port Adelaide. The Hawks are just two wins outside the top eight and with gun Will Day back and their recruits in Massimo D'Ambrosio, Jack Ginnivan and Mabior Chol settling in as Calsher Dear emerges, Hawthorn could be ready to make a charge. And they got the job done against the Crows without in-form ruckman Lloyd Meek. Greater Western Sydney and Carlton came from the bottom five after round 13 last year to reach preliminary finals and while those lofty goals may be a little beyond this young side, the Hawks can go on a dangerous run in the second half of 2024. – Dejan Kalinic

They've won 5 of 7 haven't they? Would be top 4 form over the last 8 weeks. They beat Adelaide
Haven't won at the MCG since 2017 IIRC
Its a weird one because i think part of the reason has been catching teams at the right time but i guess the saying goes you just gotta play whats in front of you. Still good wins over Bulldogs and Brisbane is still an alright side even with their injuriesThey've won 5 of 7 haven't they? Would be top 4 form over the last 8 weeks.
Should have beaten Port too..Its a weird one because i think part of the reason has been catching teams at the right time but i guess the saying goes you just gotta play whats in front of you. Still good wins over Bulldogs and Brisbane is still an alright side even with their injuries
Yep i really like the way they lineup as well their midfield imo looks dynamic with Newcombe Day Worpel Nash and a little sprinkling of Moore and MackenzieShould have beaten Port too..
We got pretty lucky when we played them with Day still returning to the side. We've been a bit lucky ourselves with when we've played sides.Yep i really like the way they lineup as well their midfield imo looks dynamic with Newcombe Day Worpel Nash and a little sprinkling of Moore and Mackenzie
As they say you can only play whats in front of you but we still smoked Melbourne and Collingwood when they were fit to start the yearWe got pretty lucky when we played them with Day still returning to the side. We've been a bit lucky ourselves with when we've played sides.
