Where did you hear this? It's this career threatening?
I've edited that part of my post for accuracy.
I haven't read that it's career-threatening and it may not be but the 110 thing is in the news -- in both a Herald Sun article and The Age.
It's an armchair opinion based on a) what Petracca has told the media; B) what we know about the heart and c) having worked in sports.

Staying active every day is a great way to protect your heart and keep it healthy for the long run.
The injury happened on June 10 (over two months ago).
He's not medically cleared to have a heart rate of 110 (because there's significant potential for health impacts beyond football). He has no idea if or when he will be given the medical clearance to go above 110.
Normal resting heart rate is 60-100.
Most professional runners are in the 100 (lower end) to 160 range running.
Consider the additional physical impacts that an AFL player endures on top of the running.
Genuinely scary stuff.
