LET'S GET SOME THINGS STRAIGHT

Yes this is an 'Off-Topic' or general chat thread, BUT that doesn't mean the thread is exempt from the standard Big Footy rules or terms & conditions we all agreed to when signing up

- Personal attacks will not be tolerated; they have no place on Big Footy, regardless of the thread

- Off-topic doesn't mean all subjects need to be discussed within this thread, especially if there's more suitable places for discussion around the Big Footy traps. Pretty sure we've all had the chance to gauge the responses or reception that various topics received when they are broached... So if you post in a manner designed to rile your fellow posters, where you are baiting or fishing for a response, don't cry foul when you are met with an unwanted response or action taken - that goes for all threads, so don't be surprised it's no different here

- We all have different reasons for having joined Big Footy; for some it's to discuss all things football, whether that's just related to Geelong or beyond to include the league, other teams and all things AFL etc. For others it's a place to come and chat about random things, post still images of movies or discuss what's been happening on Love Island, and just escape from the sh*t we've been dealing with for the last 18 odd months

Yeah im always in rod Laver a fair bit.

I came "this close" to getting free semi-finals tickets one time. A guy I worked with got them thru a mate, and if there had been an extra one going he would have offered it to me.

Only time I've been on RLA was a night session in 1996. Courier v Muster a 4-setter + fireworks (literally- the cricket at the G had fireworks which pissed off the players) and a blackout!!!

I shit you not. Got home about 2am from all the delays.

Poor mum had to come pick us up, cause the trams were long finished by then

Hey Munich - I'm curious why "Munich" when I see you support (as I do) Bayern's biggest rival!

Best Aus open match i ever saw was on Crt 1 (I believe someone later chose to rename it "Homophobe Court" or something) - Becker v Camporese around 1992.

RLA. Didnt/dont mean ground passes. I go roughly every.. idk 3-4 years?? That seems to be my sweet spot, I do not need to go every year. Its a slog going to the tennis.

Lol iirc I went the last time with a mate from work- a guy in the leadership team and he had to work the next day (i didnt).

Yeah I convinced him to stay for the Kyrigos night match lol.

I came to work today with the expectation of today being a full day of training in a new area - over recent weeks I've had a couple of training sessions & time going through the learning modules, but they've always been interrupted with other things coming up during the day

I get into work today and one the higher ups stops me to have a quick chat - the one I'm meant to be working with is awaiting a PCR test and they wanted to check if I'll be on working on my own today

Guess this is one way of learning, and will be good to see what areas I'm comfortable with & those areas I'll genuinely have questions about

Westies are beautiful breeds.
They do tend to have hip and joint issues as they hit older age but a really beautiful breed of dog. Not the type of dog to be left alone.
