We're an average team held together by two dominant forwards. Our midfield has been smashed in centre bounces, clearances, and contested possession in almost every game this year. We lack a second KPD to help Weitering. The problems are obvious. The solutions are much harder to figure out.

At some stage, we need to get methodical with our kicks to Charlie and Harry; we keep making nothing defenders look like stars cause all we do is bomb it long and hope the big boys do the rest.

Why play two rucks? We are a man down when ever we play two rucks. Don’t know what was going through wetering’s head lets play 30m off my opponent the whole game.

Because we've been getting smashed in clearances and centre bounces. Voss is trying to win back some advantage for us in contested footy. Clearly, our problems are bigger than just the ruckmen though.

Worrying for me is the rising injury toll.

Wasteful in front of the big sticks and some really poor passages to close that out. We’ve reverted a bit to the slower ball movement and we’re not able to hit up the lead into the 50. Out default is to bomb long and there’s a time and place for that but we need to be better.

That’s the kind of game that can blow a top 4 finish. Also shows that if you’re wasteful regardless of the opposition you get hurt.

Going to be a tough stretch now without a few key players.
