If Cowan can get involved, so can he. I get that there's a game sense gap, but Wilson is fit enough to close that and get on top of things if they give him licence.

He should be teeing up with Monahan on that right wing.

I feel like Moir has given up already. He has moments, but often doesn’t have the engine or the willingness to get to contests. I’d hoped for more by now.

If he needs a corrective procedure for his hip/groin issues, the time is now. He's cooked.

I knew I shouldn’t have watched the VFL.

I didn’t think we would win. But I thought watching our younger guys look lost and alone would depress me. And it has.

Cowan is pure class though.

Young is arguably the worst defender for us right now, he's not holding the line and sweeping well at all, which is unravelling the rest.

Did we do mid-season reviews two weeks early and tell him he's gone?

Cowan has been in the system for an extra year and played AFL. Billy Wilson is still figuring out what he’s about. I’ve been saying he’s not ready. And it’s not helped that our backline is shocking.

There's nothing about his game that doesn't translate to AFL level from HB and the wing, particularly in our squad. We're just not giving him a chance because of all the experience ahead of him bar Ollie.

Except so many of them are injured at the moment...

Maybe we should give Polson another shot only 6 months but he has mutured same for Parks. Polson was unlucky had his last season during that covid nonsense

Polson never ironed out his kicking issues and sprayed the ball on the wing and HF while seemingly seeking to play on-ball undersized, just like Fisher.

Both needed to face reality and seemingly didn't. No point tilling scorched earth.

I'd rather he see a hip specialist and get some better imagining done before I listen to people who would probably be used car salesmen without having a few mates in the industry

Great effort by Monahan, but he's not a super agile player for the positions he's trying to play... might need to lay off the lower body work beyond running and agility drills.

That or we look at him as an on-ball option.
