I have only been posting here for a couple of days and I must say I am quite shocked at the attitude of some posters on this forum. It seems to me that people become abusive when someone posts an opinion different to theirs. Is this the norm on here?

You literally said that you're a long time lurker the other day.

If that's true, why act shocked when you come on here and within a "couple of days" start talking about trading out arguably the biggest talent we've been able to bring in to the club for decades and feathers get ruffled?

I couldn't care less about that opinion, but to act surprised that other people get worked up about it means that either you're not such a long time lurker, or you're being insincere. I suspect it's the latter. Either way, if you don't want a reaction, maybe don't fish for one.

Yes considering he said he was a long time lurker, if so he would know that opinions are challenged.
If your opinion is challenged, don't get offended, that means nothing, back up your opinion with facts or realise that others will have different opinions.

Yes, the player I was being guarded about was Taranto.

You can clearly understand why I was hesitant to say anything other than a massive ocean of water needs to go under the bridge to move this idea from a conversation into something real.

They gave up two first rounders and he has 5 years left to run on his contract. I don’t see anyway that happens where we come out ahead. Don’t get me wrong Taranto would be a great get for us but he’d have to demand a trade and Richmond would be justified in wanting something similar to what they paid. That would probably be our first and Adelaide’s second that we hold.

This draft has plenty of mids and surely hitting the draft and taking a free agent would be a much better plan than wasting our time on deals that probably won’t happen. A good free agent gives us the midfield boost we need and hopefully our 1st pick is ready to step up as our older mids drop off.

Maybe your intro shouldn't be "Why not trade our golden boy draftee who we all love for magic beans?"

Start with something less controversial and build relationships before you move into Cairnsman/Kane Cornes territory.

We don't need him, there are more important areas to focus on plus neither him or Max provide any forward pressure.

Max and Hammer long term will make a better combo as Hammer does chase, tackle and harass, he has some mongrel.

Also Ben King only does one thing well, take marks on the lead and kick truly. But its not unusual that he does nothing else at all whatsoever all game like his match this weekend with only 3 kicks but for 3 goals.
