Agree it's Collingwood critique. In the end Nathan Murphy has a contract with the Collingwood football club to play football. We could pay him out I guess but that would be very cruel if all he wants to do is play pro footy. In the end its his choice to play on. If the AFL have allowed it, then that makes it hard for the pies to say no to him playing.I just posted it.
Even if you agree in principle with what Robbo is saying, he has written it in such a way that it's just yet another pre-season critique of the Collingwood Football Club instead of genuine care for a player's wellbeing.
I think long term him playing on is the wrong choice but that's because im not a 23-24 year old man who still thinks that im invincible. Probably the best call would have been for the AFL to have made the tough call and ban him from playing maybe even given him a nice payout as well to grease the wheels a bit.
