I am worried the fact we aren’t training on Jan 8 is a sign of hubris

I'm sure your post is in jest... but FTR, I like the new training regime. The players had a good solid hit-out and running block before Christmas, whilst some injury prone or older players were rested and managed. They do a lot away from the club as well these days, and it was a v long season and finals campaign. So am looking forward to a full & freshened up group hitting the track from mid Jan to attack the lead in to season proper.

In J Wade we trust...

I’ve been up in SYD for the Test cricket and for past three mornings have seen large groups of GWS players running and training in/around Centennial Park, looking very fit and motivated.

Good. They'll have no excuses when we smash them on their home turf in round zero in front of twenty five of their adoring fans and 20 K of ours. :)

They are a good team and well managed. Deserve a flag if it’s not us.

So Jen are they training at 8 or 9 in the morning next Thursday?

It’ll either be 9am or an afternoon session which sometimes after a break they have been known to do. I’ll find out early next week

4 more days until the resumption of training. I've been re-watching the season games in the meantime lol Usually when I'm eating Dinner -- and the cricket.

Josh Eyre with the younger brother, Ryan. Who is currently part of Essendon nga. The boys did some training today.

What condition is the ground in at the moment? Has it recovered from the GF live site and subsequent celebrations?

They totally resurfaced it didn't they? That's why they had been training at Vic Park prior to Xmas.

Hopefully it's now in the best condition it's ever been in.

Both Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs will open the doors to players on Thursday.

The reigning premier should see skipper Darcy Moore and goalkicker Jamie Elliott ramp things up after the pair were on a light program leading into Christmas, while Brayden Maynard (shoulder) has continued to add strength into his right arm.

All clubs face a crucial period to ramp up training with pre-season games just around the corner.

Monday marks just 45 days until the first pre-season fixtures on February 21.
