Not footy related, but did anyone notice this fella:

SPECIAL GUEST

A regular on the running track around Collingwood’s training oval, Olympian Peter Bol powered through some running as the Magpies warmed up.

The star 800m dasher pushed through a tough running session before hopping on an electric scooter and heading down Olympic Blvd.
Jen noticed and informed us.

“Also; Peter Bol made an appearance, doing some running on the track and then joined in on some warm up activities before he left the ground.”

"Dean - still looks a little proppy / cumbersome to me. Reminds me a little bit of Sharenberg and his foot issues... physique good tho
Krueger - quiet"

Thanks for your report, but that is not what I was hoping to read about Charlie and Kreuger.
It’s just one training session though

Did anybody notice Ned Long at Training today. A delisted Box Hill hawk, he trained before Christmas. Looked to be a strong, inside mid type.

No. Wasn’t there.

Yes

He cam and sat right next to me after he was done

Had literally no idea who he was but I figured he was someone famous because a couple of guys wanted a photo with him.

He kept looking at me like possibly he was expecting me to say something like I knew who he was? I will say though, dude is f**king RIPPED. Incredible rig on him.

Just to put it out there, I was there for the entire 2 hour session

I'm guessing our ideas of proppy are quite different.

Dean looked completely fine to me. But I agree on Kreuger. He was quiet and even...fumbly? I don't know if he just wasn't taking the session serious enough but yeah he just looked...borderline disinterested

I was standing on top of the seats in a green dress. I saw him go to the bench to his backpack before walking to some kids to take a photo.
Did you wearing a black tap? white shirt?

Yeah. I was going to say hi to you but the last couple of times I've said Hi you've seemed borderline offended lol so I thought I would leave you alone.

You were sitting next to my wife for a while.

Yeah I was wearing the White Nike premiers T-Shirt (the one they don't sell anymore) and just a plain black NewEra Collingwood logo hat. I was at those benches the entire time.

I looked up and saw Graham Wright and gave him a thumbs up and he waved hi back lol

I never know who to say I am.

I'm one name here and another on Twitter and we follow each other on Twitter

Can anyone confirm where and what time training is tomorrow?
Cheers!

He's only been signed to our VFL team has he not and was never a SSP option?

If the VFL listed Magpies are ever invited to train with the AFL squad I would assume a lot have work/study requirements that often make it impossible anyway.

I think he trained with the team before xmas though and was training alongside other hopefuls.

Long was only training with the team as a VFL top up, not an official SSP

Pre-season. January 11th. 12:45pm

Everyone was on deck, bar obviously McStay.
In the rehab group, Maynard did a fair bit of drills before he went over and did some running. He had some other runners alongside him. Carmichael (who was sporting a blue cap), I think Jordy and checkers joined him at various stages.

It was a really warm afternoon. glares at the burns on my arms and back but a very solid first session. There was no real proper match sim, but more skills based and working through ball movement.

There is no changes to the SSP, all the candidates are still training. I had a message from David King before I saw him at training, who #44 in white was because he was mighty impressive. I replied that it was Josh Eyre. So I went and had a chat to him for the last half of the session. He didn't a fan of Bytel or Teakle. But does like Eyre. He was there with Xander McGuire, who was reporting for ch 9.
A few other reporters from other networks were there too.

Players in different numbers which gets annoying especially the SSP when you are trying to keep track.

Notables:

- Reef: I thought he was really impressive. Kicked a few goals and seemed to be playing a bit higher up the ground. More that HHF role Got a fair bit of the ball too. Looks strong. His body is now made for afl.

Johnson - I thought he looked fit, and moved around the ground with ease. He too seems to be moving up the ground and getting involved a bit more.

Noble - Looks bigger. Stronger, while not losing his pace. I did laugh when he came speeding through defence and ran about 100 metres before bouncing the ball.

HH - Looked to have trimmed down a bit, and added muscle. Lost that puppy fat you get as a kid. Looks fit and moved well.

Fin - Got involved a fair bit. Looks ready, he knows his time is now.

Ryan - Has bulked up in the shoulders and upper body, looks strong. When this time last year, he was a stick.

The draftees that had draftee seminar today, so they had lunch, and then they left for that, which explained their absence.

They split off into groups and worked on various of things including ground balls and tackling. They also did some "on the siren" where you had to kick the goal, Jamie kicked his after some bantering from teammates around him. Beggy also slotted his through as well.

After they completed the match play, there was a session of conditioning running toe be had. Most partook this apart from the rucks who were doing some work on their own.

Also; Peter Bol made an appearance, doing some running on the track and then joined in on some warm up activities before he left the ground.

Hi Jen HNY, just wanted to say thank you for all the work you do.

i noticed the quote on the bottom of your posts about if you don’t have anything nice to say……. Can I assume that excludes Carlton specific references, asking for a friend.

Saying terrible things about Carlton is by definition a nice thing to do.
