I think the squad is looking pretty strong now but lacks competition for Vergos and back-up CB.

Vergos needs a back up but CB depth is more then fine Davidson been playing CB as well can slot in and bring on Lino/Traore. Inserra also plays RB so have versatility in the back 4

Reec as competition at CF is horrifying.
From memory Jelacic played striker in his Glory/Roar days,
Praying we sign someone else though,
Reec is without a doubt the worst player I have ever seen for us and it isn't even close,

Piscopo, Traore, Reec & Hamill all really are not needed on the books anymore. If we got mutual with them we could add Ibusuki + another decent WU signing.
Reno is solid depth off the bench but rest I agree
Hamill too old now off the Knee Trev was good 10 years ago not now

Problem with Reec is he seemingly turned into a complete spud overnight since joining us. He was really good with the Mariners and was a fan favorite.
I'm surprised we didn't come to a mutual termination allowing him to rejoin the Mariners where he would probably find some form again.
He has no future at all with us. Infact, he will probably play more NPL matches than A-League matches for us going forward.

Not sure why we can't nail a deal with Ibusuki to sort that. Nish & Santos feeding him would be pretty potent in theory with the options of Piscopo on the left and Genreau driving forward from mid.
What are the rules with mutual terminations and the transfer window? I know we can still sign free agents, so if we agree mutually to terminate a contract does that free up a player to then sign a deal elsewhere in the A-League? Or would that be construed as a transfer because the mutual termination would be dependent upon another club agreeing a new contract?
The club really needs to find a way to get mutual with Traore & Reec who are a massive waste of our salary cap. Not sure what happened with Adama getting a new deal. Perhaps we didn't believe that we would secure both Lino & Davo.
Have we signed anyone officially as an injury replacement for BJ? As doing so would mean BJ is excluded from this season's salary cap.
Pretty sure mutual termination is fine,
Agree on an Ibusuki type just need a poacher to finish off the work,
Doesn't matter if it was Popa/Snake/Dilas we create a shit load of chances but just don't finish them
