So they just trade them to another club to use?Yes but they have to trade three of those picks for players, right?
They won't have their own picks because they didn't play in 26, right?

Grjl averages over 5 tackles per game .... Cumming and Grjl for mine ... we need the speedI hope we draft both.
I really rate Cumming and think both would compliment our list for the future perfectly.
Cumming at SANFL U18's level:
Average: 24 disposals, 3.4 clearances, 5.6 I50, 1.6 tackles.
At senior SANFL level (won't include the game he got injured)
Average: 16 disposals, 4 clearances, 3.33 I50's and kicked 3.1 in 3 games
Sharp at SANFL U18's level:
Average: 27 disposals, 6.5 clearances, 4.8 I50's and 7.6 tackles per game
At senior SANFL level
Average: 16 disposals, 4 clearances, 3.2 I50's and 8.2 tackles per game
Obviously contrasting players but both have performed to a high standard at all levels inc U18 championships but would fit our list needs perfectly for the future.
Sharp could walk into our side and be our best defensive mid we have at the club.
Who do we currently have that hunts the opposition when they have the ball and lays a huge amount of tackles?
Taranto is our best but we haven't had a defensive midfield warrior since prime Cotchin who does the unglamorous defensive duties that goes a long way to being successful.
In terms of list deficiencies this is where RFC is at in 2025 with a relatively injury free season to our seasoned players.
The common thread in our midfield is almost the same 5 in which 3 won't be on our list with our next surge to finals footy and it's debatable if Taranto can last that long.
We can speculate until the cows come home on Kmac2 but he's still unproven at AFL level.
Surprisingly Hopper is more 'outside' than us fans give him credit for with his uncontested disposal count.

Trade down for the Poo as wellI’m certainly no draft expert but having Cumming on our list would certainly ensure years of highly amusing double-entendre ejaculation jokes on bigfooty. I hope our recruiters are considering this aspect of drafting him very carefully in their decision making
Sharp wins you games, not clicks. Think Dunkley...Brisbane full of high octane players (Cameron, Raynor, he guy that kicked 5 goals and is coming out of contract & want to give give blank cheque) then as soon as contest engine like Dunkley joins they all shine & win flags. That's what Sharp will bring that competitive edge game after game.Cumming is much better forward than Sharp and also has far better pace.
I’d rather Greeves than Sharp. Much better contested in the air and forward. Also plays more outside mid, which we have a need for.
I will be surprised if Sharp goes before pick 6-8. I hope WC chooses him. I’ll put my opinion on the line, he’ll look good early but ultimately will be just an average player.
Park Orchards, no?Just noticed on the sign Robey is holding

Hahaha I actually voted before I saw your messageYou have now![]()
Sharp's petty good as a part time forward.Cumming can play HF, Grjl can play HB ... where is Sharp when he is not in the midfield? The bench?
Sharp's weaknesses are kicking, outside run and speed ...
Agree with everything except Greeves. He's even more of a plodder than Dyson Sharpasabowlingball.Cumming is much better forward than Sharp and also has far better pace.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were implying Dull is the most talented player in the draft.I never said, nor think that, you silly, silly little campaigner you.
Against children. We're projecting for thr big league.no talent..... just gets the job done, wins games of his own boot, wins awards. Sounds like some one I know....
Lalor and Smillie have him covered by laps. We don't need him.Sharp wins you games, not clicks. Me too. Would love to get Robey then trade back and get one of those and one of Poo/NHH.I'm still torn between Cumming & Grlj
I didn’t like him last year. Loved him mid year, and just gone slightly cold on him in back half of year, or probably more precisely just got hotter on others.
I think he’s a 200+ game player and his leadership traits are miles ahead of anyone this year and probably last year too. Dunkley is the best comparison I’ve read.
But I think Kane/Lalor/Smil cover his entire skill set and then some and I really rate those 3. He has some versatility, can play HBF or forward but not sure if he’d be high level or elite anywhere but inside mid.
Not gonna be upset if we get him, but he’s behind Robey, Grlj, Cumming and XT in that order for mine and I think they all have multiple positions they could be high level to elite in.
Robey because he’s probably the 2nd best key forward in the draft on top of being top 5-6 midfielder (open pool). That versatility is crazy and I think he has the most potential for development to come in the class. His hands are insanely clean, he reeled in 5 one hand marks this year by my count. His recovery ability is also elite imo, so many times he’s first back onto the ball after it hits the ground in marking contest, there’s a play vs Duursma where he’s out pointed in marking contest and WD wins ball but Robey’s recovery to make tackle is amazing.
If I were to take any poster on here back to start of year and ask them to describe what type of prototype draftee would you want, 192cm, late year birthday, athletic and powerful who plays forward and midfield would be the top answer.
Grlj is a natural line breaker. The only other player playing AFL who does it as naturally is Banks (Juddy Clarke also but poor bloke). Speed, endurance and a **** you factor I love (though all these guys love the physical stuff which is a personal fav trait of mine, Grlj takes it to Mansell levels), he is also insanely competitive, he smashed his 2km pb because he was trying to beat Dalton.
Cumming is a much better HF and obviously has a turn of speed. Exceptionally good over head, very good in traffic. I think his kicking is the best of this lot, though slight hitch, and another tough bastard.
XT is next mostly because I think his position is also a bit redundant but his speed and desperation/competitiveness also pretty insane. Great intercept mark and was really learning to use his pace and agility to break lines and support the attack. I’d be getting him hoping for a wing or mid development.
Emmett has a massive amount of campaigner in him so I could see us liking him.Me too. Would love to get Robey then trade back and get one of those and one of Poo/NHH.
Hearing we heart Emmett, though.
Bont/Clarry Oliver/Nakia Cockatoo/Salem/Vlastuin are all bolters I can remember. Not many are comparable with dominant late season performances though. I think Robey is unique in that sense from my memory.A question for me is how many bolters have gone on to transition to good AFL players? Have they hit their ceiling in being a "bolter"? Thinking specifically of Robey here...
Lalor will be more mid than forward in time. Hotton too, possibly.I enjoy reading your posts because they’re very much aligned with how I feel on each of the prospects. My question though, is it too many of the same archetypes if we were to draft Robey and Cumming? I think I’m leaning towards that being my favourite combo, but if Cumming is able to play full time mid and develop there from the beginning.
We have a lot of FWD-MID types with the emphasis being on FWD, with Lalor, Hotton, potentially Robey all probably playing more forward than mid. If you throw Cumming in there with a bigger forward split is that too much of a log jam?
Is Cumming more a MID-FWD is maybe more my question

About time he got off the fence and put his opinion out there tbhStarting to get the feeling Calcium Man is on board the Robey train
