I got stopped once. At the West coast final, but was allowed in
All of my mates just buy kid tickets so if there’s 6 of us then 1 adult 5 kids and they’ve never once checked. They go to nearly every game featuring one of their clubs.

Hey does anyone know what's going on with the tickets for Geelong v Hawks.

It's saying GA allocation is sold out
Probably a fully ticketed game
Received a text msg earlier about securing a reserved seat with membership barcode

I understand the last round or 2 as floating, but not sure we need 1/3 of the season as a floating fixture

It's Carlton's fault.

There was that year they were "coming", the AFL gave them heaps of Friday nights, they turned out shit, and we were stuck watching them on Fridays. So we stopped watching footy on Fridays and ch7 had a cry about it.

Why have the NM game on a Saturday night??

North asked for a prime time slot to celebrate 100 years in the competition.
Poignant selection if you know the history of both clubs.

Kiss on the dick Geelong with what fixturing about bloody time to what a run home.

Only issue I have with that is we'll be heading into the finals having a series of "soft kills". Remember one year we entered the finals on the back of dishing out a couple of 100+ point shellackings, and then didn't fire a shot in the finals and got bundled out in the first week.

Tough runs home are always worse. They cost you finals or top 4 spots and you cannot manage the list at all, so head in to finals cooked.

The AFL fans association (didn't even know there was such a thing) agree with you.

Apparently one of the reasons our home games at GMHBA aren't sold out is because people have the rights to reserved seats that they don't always put back into the pool for reallocation if they're not using them. Is that right? If so, why don't they make it an opt-in system, so that you have to claim your seat before game-day (or something) and if you don't, people can come and use it? Does anyone have any insight on that situation?

I'd think that once someone opts to pay for their seat for the season that they've technically already opted in

I know in the past that I've put my seat up for resale when I know I can't attend - sometimes it sells, sometimes it doesn't

I also regularly see folks advertise tickets for sale on match days was they can no longer attend, but the aren't always takers
