Agree that's our best fixture in years. Our fixture this year looked bad and was terrible, arguably costing us finals. No excuses next year, that is as good as it gets.

Fair enough. I like the idea of playing in SA then going straight to VIC, cuts down on flights. Surely this will be our least travelled regular season since going to 18 teams.

Agreed but I think they'll still be thereabouts. McRae's committed to wringing every last drop out of that squad.

Happy that we play them at the G though, that'll be a great test.

Should win all of those at Optus, plus a couple away. Let's say 9-3.

Haven't analysed the breaks between games, but on face value there are no excuses for missing the top 4 apart from injuries. If we are serious, then we should be 8-1 or 7-2. I'm giving us a loss @ Geelong, then maybe lose an away game against say Melbourne or Saints. I see us entering the tough last four at 14-5, which should make top 2 there for the taking. Hopefully history doesn't repeat.

And I was totally wrong about it being a certainty to play GWS at Optus. For the third year in a row, they avoid playing us at Optus. Poor effort from the AFL on that particular matchup.

One game in QLD, no games in NT/Tasmania. Can't complain about that part of it.

Then Richmond in Barossa followed by Melbourne at the MCG the week after.

So for WC the Doubles are against Freo, GWS, Carlton, Melbourne, Adelaide and Richmond.

Our double ups are not that much harder. The only gimme for WC is Richmond.

Richmond is a gimme for literally anyone.

Peel might've come close next year if put in the same league.
