I like anyone that uses the word abivalent.
The meaning of the word is just a thing that is sort of indescribable.
The word itself sounds sort of lyrical in a toned down sort of way.

Yuck. Richmond selling games to Tassie. So now we have the shit and piss team in Tassie, Richmond in Tassie and Norf in WA, as well as Geelong still playing non-vics at their stadium paid for by my taxes. Despite the swans Vic membership once again going up by about 13 bucks, chances are we will get like 3 GA games plus 2 x Geelong / Collingwood or Essendon games where you will have to pay for a reserved seat.

Fixing problems that don't exist, but then changing rules when it suits working drafts trading and academies . Giving into clubs like the Pies on a whim, chook lotto suspensions etc

And to remove the dead bye week to be fair I get that part of it...but why on earth just not move it to before the GF

You could if you just flipped the two bye weeks, no need for a bye after the season. Just make it like they do it in the NFL, also avoids the Tom Stewart situation.

wildcard round basically dilutes the previous top 4 advantage with a bye to the top 6 instead

I agree and have the Brownlow the week of the bye so ALL players can go

Exactly, and nowadays with concussion without the bye you are just asking clubs to 'fib' before a big game. You hope they wouldn't but this can all be avoided by having a bye after prelims, also means the two sides are on a level playing field with gaps between matches. This isn't making the finals series any longer it's just flipping the byes around.

I also hate the idea where you may rest players last round (or half play players), then have a bye, then a match (Qualifying final), then another bye before a prelim, there's not much continuity for top sides.

I will almost guarantee you by the start of the '28 season the AFL will create another bye because it's too unfair on the wildcard teams.

Opening round should be all teams. Just make the northern clubs get the prime games

I'm fine with the 4 teams. Stand alone. In the Northern market.

The 5th game is a bit of a joke.
