That reminds me of a few years ago. I reluctantly brought in Mitch Duncan, and sat through watching him painfully crawl to 100 with a minute or so left, a successful trade in I thought.

Only to then watch with seconds left him get pinged htb, drop below 100, and get concussed in the process.

He was Tom Stewarting before Tom Stewart became a thing.

Davidson, Bice & Daniel to Whitfield, Green & all I can afford Sandy Brock.

Or be sensible and just do Stone & Davidson to Boxshall & Green. Or Lindsay & Davidson to Boxshall & Whitfield.

I never like to bring in a rookie after just one game so I would have waited to next week for Boxshall. Now that he's scored a 38, will he be a must get next week? Have already changed Bice to Sheezel and Tsatas to Hustwaite. The Hustwaite trade now seems a bit of a waste. Thanks Mitchell for subbing him out at half time. Another Chris Scott move.
The Tsatas trade was originally going to be Moraes but when he was named I changed.
Moraes being sub and scoring 25 has now reduced his value.
I still think I'll do Daniel to Green. Just waiting for game making sure he is playing.

so i've got Leake onfield as my possible captaincy loop (with Bice EMG)
... and El-Hawli's 82pts is left sitting on my bench with no way of replacing Short
now i've got a guaranteed onfield donut

on top of all that i'm 906pts from 13 players
including Boxshall, Hustwaite, Cleary, Oliver all sub 50pts

Well no, it’s not a waste as it should’ve served its purpose of putting $300k-500k in your treasury from the downgrade. And it’s doubtful he’ll be dropped so will most likely continue (slowly) accumulating his own $300-500k for a later down/upgrade.
That’s the game.

I finally got some things right.
Traded in Sheezel for Bice. Around a 60 something advantage.
Also traded in Green for Daniel. A probable increase of 80 or so.
The biggest thing I got right was making B Smith captain. 149 * 2. Thank you very much.
Third trade was Hustwaite but everyone has been bitten there.

Yes, but doubtful you'd be moving him on until at least the Hawks bye in Round 15, so he should stack on a good bit of coin across those 6 weeks of increase.

Was playing a guy in eliminator this week who was ranked in the 2000s. Should have been a comfortable win I originally thought.
Today. I had Green (133), Smith as C (298) and Sheezel (103) as uniques. He had Neale (63) and Daniel (57).
Surely I won pretty easily in the end? Yeah, won 2270 to 2262.
I almost feel sorry for the guy.

Is Jiath from Hawthorn an option? Haven't watched them play the last couple of weeks, so not even sure what his role is? Good scoring and very low breakeven.

Bice to Jiath could be a play. Anyone got any idea if his scoring is sustainable, or just a couple of flukey scores?

I moved Oliver on when he didn't make the trip to Perth. Daniel/Bice/Lindsay are my main areas of weakness right now! Need a rookie to come in...

As much as I would like to get rid of another onfield rookie, I think the lack of downgrades just won't allow it. Fortunately, I've already gotten rid of Bice, Daniel and Oliver so I don't have to worry about them.
The only real rooks left on field are Davidson and Lindsay.
I would like to trade one of these to Martin but just won't have the cash to do so, hence my plan this week is to wait until the Essendon sub has been announced and if it's not El-hawli, he will replace Moraes. I will then look for the best downgrade option the following week, do that and then replace Davidson most likely with Martin.

No, decided it was too risky, especially with Scrimshaw returning.......thank goodness.

Need to fix my cash generation somehow. El-Hawli, Hardeman & Erasmus are the options this week I think. Hardeman the best job security, but inflated price and bye in round 12. Other two could be sub this week though.

Next week Simpson & Binns perhaps.

Pleased to hear you didn't bring in Jiath although I could have looked at your team via our mutual league.
As to cash generation, I was looking at El-Hawli but have gone cold on that. The risk of him taking the green vest, if not this week, but weeks in the future is just too big.
My cash generation has taken a different tact this week with Cerra being replaced by Peatling. $100K cheaper and likely to score the same.
Gone a little out of the square box next by using that earnt cash by trading out Short and bringing in Martin.
