Pleased to hear you didn't bring in Jiath although I could have looked at your team via our mutual league.
As to cash generation, I was looking at El-Hawli but have gone cold on that. The risk of him taking the green vest, if not this week, but weeks in the future is just too big.
My cash generation has taken a different tact this week with Cerra being replaced by Peatling. $100K cheaper and likely to score the same.
Gone a little out of the square box next by using that earnt cash by trading out Short and bringing in Martin.
They are good trades. Have toyed with bringing Peatling in, though probably for Daniel. None of the rookies excite me, though if I do nothing, I'll be fielding Moraes this week. Couldn't even get Bo Allan back.

I think I might just take the inevitable hit this week, hope Daniel & Cerra don't lose too much money and reassess next week. I traded Short last week.

Personally, I think Daniel is a must trade. Peatling for Daniel is a no brainer.

In looking at your team, it's a great result to be ranked 17th overall.
I reckon you would probably be the only coach in the top 100 who doesn't have Reid in their defensive six.

Looking a little like trading our Cerra may not have been such a great decision. 88 at 3/4 time.

I traded Reid after his 36 vs WCE. Was a bad mistake in hindsight. Has comfortably outscored Bice & Trainor in recent weeks.

I toyed with trading Cerra. He scored about 35 points in the last 7 minutes of the third quarter. Wasn't looking great before that.

I still have 5 rookies on field, so I've been lucky to maintain my rank. Expect teams to start getting rookies off the field quicker than me, so I'll be dropping soon, as I just don't have the money to do much.

Daniel to Peatling is a trade I may make. Peatling should keep scoring ok with Crouch out, and make some dollars too. Stone to Hardeman is the other I'm looking at.

Heeney could be an option after his game tonight. Been waiting for him to find some form. Need some budget options.

Ended up using a boost to get Daniel to Tom Green. Sure enough been hopeless today. No question Daniel will outscore him tomorrow. Hopefully long term will work out.

Daniel will have a field day against the Tiges. As will Sheezel, LDU and Xerri.

A good week to have North blokes. Sheezel might even be a half-decent skipper choice after looping Smith.
I agree with the others but I disagree re Daniel. He is no longer the designated ball user in their defensive half.

rd10: 1938pts (top 63%) :(
overall: 2,437th (top 34%)
trades: 24

Smith(c) + Xerri + Flynn(FLX) + Dawson + Anderson = :thumbsu:
Short(DNP) + El-Hawli + JHF + Cleary + TDK(DNP) + Merrett =

this year's become a write-off
will probably hold JHF... he has a scheduled bye rd12, and should be back after that
Lindsay and Hall need to be upgraded sooner rather than later... a falling Daicos is on my radar
491k def Coleman is a player of interest
Bice, Daniel, and Oliver need to lift !!
Gawn and Whitfield must be stopped !!

I guess I should start caring about this now again this year. Was in India for the start of the season (so missed the thursday night round 1 lockout and then in Europe for most of April so thought it was a writeoff.

But now finished 6th for the round this week and 2nd for the round last week and into the top 100.

Only 20 trades left (2 boosts) which feels thin, and haven't thought much about byes. Cash generation feels a bit dicey
- Husthwaite feels dead if he can't get a look in with Nash and Day out. Henderson is definitely dead Maybe the Saints being rubbish means Trav can get a run and restart some cash gen, but FOS is capped, Carroll probably doesn't have long in the side, Cleary is leaking, FOS has nowhere to grow and Erasmus's JS feels shaky (at least he got some CBA time on the weekend? - better inclusion than El-Hawli it seems).

Torn for trades this week - Simpson probably the best rookie and where I'll likely go for Cleary, but what's his J/S like?

Sims as a R/F could be handy cover especially if we keep running a ruck in the flex, but would cost money to turn Boyd into him. Angove might keep his spot but scoring seems thin. Gross shouldn't keep being sub and is now priced nicely, but probably risky that he will keep that role/be too fringe? Visentini probably a little too expensive to drop Flynn down to as a cash grab, but it's tempting especially with the bye he has.

If I go Cleary to Simpson, it gives me 407k to play with and JHF to fix. Feel like it's either Nic Martin & 245k, DPP Ashcroft in and go Dunkley & 195k. Merrett, Daicos and Butters are going to get very cheap soon, so I reckon Martin's probably the play and keep Ashcroft in the mids - genuine chance I could turn Ashcroft or Maric to one of those for 100k in a couple of weeks which is exciting.

Thinking I might use another boost and go down to 17 trades. Just who goes is the hard one. Roberts is leaking, but has a beautiful run ahead. Ashcroft/Maric could go, but hopefully have a little more growth in them. Bergman probably loses the role and was a miss, but have time to wait another week. Reid has another week, maybe two, of serious cash gen (but want to go early on him when I do). And Lindsay feels like he's got more in him too.

Flynn is priced very low for his output, but ROB this week, dual ruck setup, maybe Flynn either to Heeney/Serong at their prices, or take a risk and go Visentini to bank 320k, carry 500k into next week, and hit a six?

Reckon I'm going to keep JHF given the talk of him being back in 2-3. Given he's dropped 80k anyway with the early injury in a year of cash gen issues I'd be selling low and probably buying back.

So going Macrae to Martin, and Cleary to Simpson. Third trade TBC, tempted to go either Flynn to Visentini for +320k but Flynn still has some cash to grow, and last two weeks with Williams in the side has still had a 75-80% ruck split. Could also take Flynn/Matt Roberts up to Dunkley/Anderson (or go early on Daicos/Merrett/Butters).

Holding Horne means I'm running an Ashcroft/Simpson loop in the forwards and an Erasmus/Travaglia loop in the mids (or if Ashcroft goes well could just take Simpson over that loop). So probably sacrificing 30-40 points this week to do it.

So far have a 149, a 126 and a 21 lol
I have 166, 126 & 21. I would like to confidently say the 21 will be dropped, but that would be tempting fate.

And I still can't fathom why I took the VC off Martin last night. Was so obvious, yet I have this fear of VC or C on Thurs or Fri night.

Very happy with myself at the moment (touch wood). Had the VC on Smith but changed it 10 minutes before the game and put it on Martin. :) This game was one of the main reasons why I'd brought Martin into my squad in the first place. So as of Friday night I had 126 from Smith, 94 from Davidson, 332 from Martin and 67 from Reid. The hamstring to Reid was the only down point for the two nights.
Since then 85 from Green was disappointing as was 86 & 81 from Xerri and Sheezel but that was offset by the scores of Long and Naicos -132 & 129 respectively. Currently have a projected final score of 2,425.
I'm sure a few things will go wrong tomorrow to bring that final score under 2.400 but you never know.
