If Cumming and Sharp gone at our first pick I’d be happy to go with Nairn then Pickett then bid on Gold Coast’s Beau Addinsall at 37 hopefully they don’t match I think he could be a gun. Our first 2 picks could end up being 11, 12 we took Kozzy at 12 so makes sense to take another Pickett at 12 .

I would be absolutely floored if we took Nairn and Pickett with our first 2 picks. I can see us taking Nairn with the 2nd one but surely we take one of cumming, Taylor, Farrow, sharp. Farrow being the most likely to still be available. Robey still an outside chance even.

If we don’t take Doverston we are set to have our slowest forwardline in history.

Opposition defenders will be frothing at the amount of time they have to waltz the ball out with a forwardline of Mihocek, Melksham, JvR, Fritsch, Jefferson, Nairn and Chandler.

Don't think we move back IMO. There's a decent list for our first two picks and then we'll try and get Pickett or Dovaston by using GCs F1 to get the next available pick after our existing ones (will throw in 37 as a sweetener if needed). I just think it's clear we're targeting the top of the draft, quality over quantity, recently.

Do think there's a chance we trade up to grab Robey, but wouldn't think it's a big chance.

It’s looking likely that our first selection will be Cumming & Nairn with the next, depending on whether Robey or Taylor slip through — which seems unlikely. I doubt we’ll reach for Dovaston, based on Twomey’s recent mail suggesting we’ve cooled on him, and Pickett feels like too much of a reach that early in the draft.
That said, I wouldn’t mind making a play for either Dovaston or Pickett later using Gold Coast’s future first (GC F1).

Was watching Dovaston highlight videos and I’m convinced he is the 2nd coming of Spargo. Looked half decent against trash opposition like Spargo did in VFL but his pace and lack of aerial capability will make him Spargo 2.0

While I’m all in for another small forward, it isn’t this bloke.

There's probably different types of 'fast' I guess? Wasn't top 10 at the combine for the 20m sprint, but:

From what Towmey was saying I think it sounds more like we’ll go Nairn with an early pick. But not Dovaston or Pickett. Assuming we’ll go a mid type also early. Sounds like we aren’t interested in Schubert.

I agree. Just because his last name is Pickett doesn't mean we are obligated to take him. That GC pick could be half decent next year and could be used for a Humphrey trade

From sounds of it Nairn has been a bit of a bolter. I think Towmey indicated a few clubs might be keen in the first round.
