RTB's point is he cant pick him in the AFL team for 6 weeks prior to the change back to 4 total weeks

he probably would have been given a game in the next month , after being delayed through injury to start with, so 4 weeks was not 4 weeks it was 6 weeks

On the plus side he will be available to play Round 14 in the middle of the Bye rounds. Maybe the AFL did on purpose so we have a downgrade option.;)

Paton has a Calf Injury ...scan will determine timeline on return to play

Next week, Paton remains listed in the side to play R8 ....

He seems to be next in line for the wing (Jones out as a winger). But his VFL form is ordinary and hasn't proven he has an AFL level tank. Think we're more likely to shuffle around the magnets and bring in more mids than bring him back in
Not being funny, but any chance he was picked as a PR piece during ramadan and we won't see him again?

Paton is my loop to get Reid's score off my bench...surely he is not going to play after being subbed off with a calf injury last week?

Is it irony when a player you desperately want to play again after being dropped comes back and then wrecks your (admittedly misguided) plan to loop.

So what happens when a player is rubbed out in the AFL leading into RD12-16 this year?
Yep it goes both ways. Just making the point that in my opinion it's not fair for someone to be suspended for 4 weeks and ends up missing 6. The AFL needs a national reserves comp. The VFL is such a compromised comp.
His ban (right or wrong) is for 4 matches, not 4 weeks.

What happens for example if a player is banned in the VFL in the last match of the year, but they make finals? Then his ban counts for finals matches, even if the AFL team isn't in the finals. Will they moan then when it goes their way?
St. Kilda? Finals?? ROFL :moustache:

I know this is going to be unpopular, but the carry on over this is ridiculous, bunch of grown men crying because they don’t know someone’s medical status.

In terms of SC/fantasy, everything is drip fed to the player base with Thursday teams (which is ridiculous as well btw), so I genuinely have no idea why anyone cares.

Like I deadset have never heard one good reason why ‘accurate’ medical lists should need to be disclosed by clubs.

The journos crying over it as well is hilarious, just wanting one more news story in an already over saturated market.

IMO some Clubs still think they get an advantage from late in's ....or positional changes ....it's so 1990's

Intel is so good these days within Clubs ....they even know what oppo players had for breakfast .....so just quit with the "I'm cleverer than you BS"

It could impact on betting. Insider knowledge. For example over/under on a particular players possessions. If I were a serious punter and had insider knowledge that Lachie Neale would be a late out you whack a load on Dunkley to beat the bookies line of disposals or clearances.

A bit of that, also spot bets like Lobb playing fwd not back for first goal scorer etc.

Don't think it means much for SC but would love to see the sub named when teams come out as all clubs know who it is anyway.

Think the main issue with this sort of stuff from the Cats is impact on their fans, kids may have a player they want to watch etc and suddenly they are out
