Well my post last night was premature.

That was a coach killer of a game.

Noticed how we had a late flourish when we dropped the game plan and started running.
The list is not bad. No list is perfect. All clubs have injuries.
Need new head of football and new coaches.
Then we can decide if we need to turn over the list.

Hate to say it but he is our third best tall forward. Lewis Young seems to have more impact forward than in defence too.

There are areas everywhere that need to be fixed.

Today's result is the consequence of pathetic list management that has delivered a plethora of unskilled players to the club. The fact that "Sack Voss" has been far louder than "Sack Austin" indicates our supporters over rate the list. Voss will be gone but a new coach with a list that is incapable of implimenting a new game plan is not the answer

Just reflect for a second that Zac Fisher was their sub today - 23rd man.

How many players in our team would he have played ahead of? And remember he can play 3 positions... Carroll, Motlop, Fogarty, Hollands, Lord, Fantasia, Binns, Durdin, Lord and Cincotta.

North have an objectively better and deeper team. Yes, 16th placed North.

Voss is actually doing ok with this team ino

I’ve supported this club since 1979 and have given everything I could as a member from going to games in the dark days right through to the now.

Why should I along with other members who have done the same or more put up with this insipid rubbish.

I’ll always support them but im taking a break for awhile as this is now affecting my mental health.

I (we) don’t deserve this.

I’ve really enjoyed the banter with everyone and wish everyone here all the best.

We've become stkilda.
Leadership starts at the top and we've had none of that for 20 years.
Good leaders would've figured out Walsh has a debilitating back injury and needed to be traded last year before other clubs found out.
Same with Harry.
Hawthorn would've been ruthless in trading those 2 out.

He is tactically inept. If he needs better assistants for that then we may as well make the assistant a senior coach.

I remember when Richmond cleaned out their assistant coaches one off season. I thought it was hilarious. Of course the problem was everyone other than Hardwick!

That was 2016.

Not saying the situations are exactly alike, but it's an interesting data point nonetheless.

And also yes... Coached for ****ing 18 odd years as a head coach or senior assistant now and has basically never showed an ounce of being 'the man'

There's a reason that he ended his time at Port Adelaide outside the coaches box.

Of course, not all of this is on Voss, with many other issues which I'm sure you already know about. But it would be nice to have a decent coach for a change: we haven't seen one this century.

Sick to death of repeating myself but the entire coaching team and half the list need to go.

We’ve gone from 5th in 23, to 8th in 24, to 12th - 15th in 25 - a consistent downward trend.

And for goodness sake if I have to hear one more time where Brisbane finished last season before winning the cup, insinuating that we can do the same, I’m going to melt

Agreed except Hardwick displayed some tactical skills and is still doing so at GCS. Voss seems to be contest and defence and scoring seems to just not matter which i am sure it does but it doesn't show.

So many problems to address. No first rounder is a brutal exclamation point on our dire situation.

Worst thing that could happen is St Kilda pull offer for TDK, because then we’d be obliged to overpay to keep him. That compo pick, cap room is the start of some assets to re-tool this thing.

We’re currently paying superstar money to our superstars, none of whom are playing like superstars at all. And that (with poor list management) means we have league worst depth as well.

Got what we deserved today, so hopefully the club figures out what to do.

I'm sorry to say, as I have great respect for the man, but the game has gone past Doc. Even if he had 15 or so touches today, most that I remember were handballs to team-mates feet. IMO, he should have retired honourobly before the mid season draft to make the final sacrifice and give his list spot to a kid.

Saad needs to get the idea he is a defender first and an attacker after that. The amount of times I've watched this and previous years and his opponent is tens of meters clear out the back because Saad has pushed up too far, infuriates me.... then there is the question of long bombs to no-one

Charlie needs a foot up the a**e, needs to stop drinking his own bathwater. He is NOT a superstar, at least not at the moment. Superstars are not limited by no names, and are desperate for succes. They run, tackle harrass...anything. Charlie does a couple of pretty things, but gives up too easily. Can anyone imagine Wayne Carey giving up on a contest? Chas should be in the same league as the Duck.

oh, And if the Aints want TDK, take the money and picks and run....


I'm not a usually a member of the sack the coach brigade, but is Horse available for a chat? None of us plebs are aware of what goes on in the rooms when the coach addresses the players, but if the obvious spray Voss was giving at 3/4 had some effect on the group in the last qtr being our best of the game, then bring it on! Can anyone imagine Horse putting up with that crap week after week?

Finally, is there some sort of medical miracle available whereby we can infuse the rest of the squad with Jacks detemination and desperation? Not the greatest player of all time, but the attitude runs in the family and there is literally Blue blood in his veins.

Recruiting and development need an overhaul
Need a gun Head of Football

When it comes to list and players this is where I struggle. Is our list any good? Debatable, and we need changes BUT is it as bad as many make out or as it’s performing?

We can debate how good our list but IMO it is nowhere near as bad as it’s showing. This is why I put coaching at the top of my list of changes that need to happen at the club

I’ll say it. Charlie Curnow thinks he’s a lot better than he actually is.

Hasn’t turned up the past month. Hardly fired a shot this year apart from a few glimpses.

Doesn’t chase or tackle and gives up contests when it’s not to his advantage.

He’s too good for that, or so he thinks.

Rides a bike to the game like a ****ing clown as well

That last 15 minutes made the result worse. North stopped they’re a bunch of kids. If that was Collingwood Brisbane or Adelaide today they would have filled their boots in the last and we would have lost by 80 plus.

Torn apart in the 2nd and 3rd quarter when the game was on the line. Dismantled by a bottom 2 side. Who knew they had it over us.

I want TDK to take the money, trade McKay.. the list is in very very bad shape. It stems from the lost drafts of 2017-2020 where apart from getting Walsh at 1 and TDK at 20 whatever he was it’s barren land that’s coming home to roost now.

Exacerbated by poor coaching. Voss and the assistants have to go and we need to go back to the drawing board.

This is not sustainable, the club is at a crossroads.

The blame isn't on the coach or the players alone but shared, along with the football administration.

We need change and 'just' sacking the coach isn't it.

I agree as long as the coach is up to the job. I'm not convinced about Vossy's strategic approach and concerned about an apparent lack of a functional Plan B.
