Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
He can definitely play a high HF role but I think he'd be at the very best 6th in line for CBAs. Still think we see him as a majority forward where he looked quite good in the 2nd half of last year. Also obviously midfield a more demanding position so guess they have to weigh up the injury risk as well
Yeh Elijah was the one who I thought should see an increase in his midfield minutes even before the Jagga injury. I still think Cripps, Hewett, Cerra, Walsh, Elijah with some rotations from the likes of Docherty/Williams/Lord is a very workable midfield. I do worry a bit about the depth underneath that but as you say hopefully some of the younger ones step up as we go through the seasonWe need Elijah to step up. Williams a few more mid minutes.
Key now is Cripps Hewett Cerra Walsh Lord Docherty staying fit
I’m hoping by mid year Ben Campo Wilson Cincotta starts to show their ability. Love to see Kemp in there but hasn’t been near the middle in pre season

Is White the Jagga replacement though? Thought he he got signed to rookie list. Wouldn’t SSP be on primary?

SSPs are always rookies. Means for the rest of the year we have more rookies than allowed, but that doesn't matter till trade period. Is White the Jagga replacement though? Thought he he got signed to rookie list. Wouldn’t SSP be on primary?
Will White looks all class. Really happy with the selection.

Made no sense to me either but happy to see WW on the list now.I’d love to know the reasoning for picking Evans over White. Wouldn’t have been my choice

The injury curse has deflated any excitement I would have had for the signing however.
Yeah it’s interesting, I see Evans pretty similar to owies in the way he plays. Doesn’t really imo have a big point of difference you’d Aquire him for.I’d love to know the reasoning for picking Evans over White. Wouldn’t have been my choice

Absolute head scratcher....love the White signing - should have been signed in the first place before Evans - but makes zero sense why we've taken a couple of small forwards. Sorry, but shithouse list management from all involved imo.I’d love to know the reasoning for picking Evans over White. Wouldn’t have been my choice
Probably one of the worst off-seasons for the club in my memory, and we’ve had some shockers.
Our drafting/trading was not aligned to where this list is at and it’s almost blown before round 1.
We're one or two injuries away from a bottom 6 finish. That's the reality. I'm not sure how we can kick a winning score. We were carried by Charlie for too long and perhaps masked other deficiencies. This includes list management. Our reserves have been poor for a long time and we need to question the development of these players.Absolute head scratcher....love the White signing - should have been signed in the first place before Evans - but makes zero sense why we've taken a couple of small forwards. The latest injuries to Pitto and HO'K - as well as Charlie's knee - suddenly make us horribly vulnerable in the big man space even before the season has even kicked off. We can start juggling players around to try and fill gaps, but signing another tall - aka McMahon - would have at least given us that option of playing him up forward along with H, with Harry rotating with TDK in the ruck department and still having a marking option up forward. We're now left to plug those gaps with mid size players like Kemp and JSOS and Moir and hope for the best.
And if we lose one of Harry or TDK over the next few months, we'll be in all sorts of pain....again.

Austin has certainly made a concerted effort to address the issue, Billy Wilson in the prior year draft & giving up two picks for Jagga Smith. We're one or two injuries away from a bottom 6 finish. Speed across the midfield hasn't been addressed still and without a first draft pick at seasons end some dark clouds are on the horizon. We need some younger players to step up big time.
