Information suggests there is a world in which Windhager and NAS go together to SA.
As i mentioned over 10 days ago, NAS's teammates are of the opinion if he goes back home, the crows are his likely destination. Jon Ralph then confirmed this in mainstream media recently.

Port however, desperate to bring Windhager to Alberton, which would help their case to get NAS over the line.
I doubt very much your "information" that Windy and Nas both end up in SA. What did Jon Ralph confirm? That Adelaide want Nas? No shit.

Nas signature will be announced next week is my tip.

That's how we tried to use Max... We just didn't have Rowell, Anderson, Touk, Flanders and Co winning the contest and kicking it forward... he was leading to Seb Ross
It goes a lot more deeper than that. Ben King has kicked goals there in this fashion long before Gold Coast had a gun midfield.

The Saints definitely used Max higher up the ground than Ben - mainly for transitional purposes. Maybe it's time to send him back deeper only when he is fit.

I agree with phantom13 about the lack of forward line support in the past. Our forward line presents as a much more dangerous proposition alongside King than it has in the past if he can get back with Sharman, Owens, Higgins etc.

We need players to provide pressure at ground level around King to make up for his lack of it. Ironically, what Ben Long is doing alongside Ben King is exactly what we need haha.

Lyon’s very structured game plan doesn’t allow freedom and creativity.
You must have missed the 4th qtr v Melbourne in the game recently. Can't blame you, we were nearly 8 goals down at 3/4 time, I wouldn't have watched either.
Apparently in spite of Lyon stifling freedom and creativity they scored 9 goals to zip including a final goal from the centre square with a remarkable play from a player Lyon had thrown forward.

Who would have thought our team of automaton robot players could do that with the crushing burden of dour unwatchable Lyon coaching.

owen78 usually has good mail. No need to go at him if it isn’t what we like reading.
To be fair, it’s not simply “not to our liking” but also rather nonsensical.

There’s pages upon pages here questioning how Port get a deal for Nas done. They don’t have the draft capital unless they suddenly change their mind on Butters and/or Rozee. What draft capital do they have for Windy over and above that?

$3m pa for 2 players?

The starting point for ITK mail is it’s gotta be believable.

It'd be helpful to compare to Josh Daicos' contract - feel like he is a better and more proven version of Windy

Signed in 2023 to 2030

AA 2023, BF winner, premiership player

If Windy deserves 850k, then Daicos is probably on 1m+ which I'm not sure about
Didnt say $850k.

$800k max contract value, the question is if its $800k you letting him walk, not if its $850k you let him walk.

Can I give it a go
I heard from a close personal relationship to Nas that he doesn't want to go to SA anymore, instead he's going to take a 2 year hiatus and go to Tassie. He has talked Wilkie into going with him and in this recent development, Saints get nothing but lose two stars. Take it as fact.

Lyon’s very structured game plan doesn’t allow freedom and creativity. Membrey got back to what he’s always been once he got out. Butler is a front runner and needs to break free. If he’s staying close to his opponent he’s not finding space.
The only difference with Membrey this year vs last year is he's playing for a team with better press and visibility.

He's more structured this year in that he's anchored more inside 50, he roamed up to the wing a little more last year to be the link man, but that also gave him more goals running back towards goals.

Lining up his stats they are better in the 19 games last year than in his 19 games this year.

I think of all the quotes, Ross saying "hopefully we'll have some positive news to share soon" was the one that filled me with hope. That suggests confidence that good things are coming. The only thing would be we know a Pou extension is on the horizon, but he would know the fans just want a Nas signature.

Makes sense, look at the pained look on Ross Lyons face when Eddie blurted out that his mail suggested Saints fans would be happy with Nasiah re-signing with the club.

It was just a brief moment, but he clearly didn’t like Eddie saying that
Personally, I thought Ross was very good and Eddie was excellent
Especially when Morris disrespected the answer
There is definately a media frenzy regarding the saints Kane and Rucci say hi
Love being relevant again
Looking forward to NAS and Windy signing and shoving it up them
Go saints

A lot of people know, they are just very very good keeping it in house.

Cut him off and poured cold water on it ( after probably telling him). Reckon they wanted it out there and they played good cop, bad cop.

Dead right. It was a pained grimace. Very briefly. People should have a look at it.

But Lyon recovered immediately and went off on a tangent about separating himself from the negotiations to focus on coaching Nasiah.

Distract and disassociate.

They were both great, but that moment was one that took Ross by surprise
