2025 List Management Discussion - Part 5

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Only similarities to Oliver are that we may now be paying a chunk of his wage.

I meant similar to Macrae not Steele. Steele was getting moved past but we didn't need to off load his massive wage. I think it was more to free ups list spot that probably saves someone like Schoenmaker from being delisted.

Well done saints, held firm.

We need Marshall and TDK even with a fully fit list. But if Marhsall went, we would be very vulnerable if any of TDK, King or Sharman were out.

Well done saints.

We lacked size and height last season so we couldn't afford to trade Marshall even with us getting TDK on board.

Marshall is versatile enough to play roles as a key forward or a key defender when he isn't rucking, likewise TDK.

I think they can work well together, we at least needed to give it a go next season to see how they work together.

Geelong are losing some gloss now. Clubs not letting them push them around and a few of their messy ring-ins have tainted the environment that was a huge attraction due to the exceptional management.

What a shame.

Thats very different to a few reports from today but who knows what is right.

Some suggesting he's on 900k and that we will be paying some of his salary.

Time will tell I guess but at the end of the day, he likely wasn't best 22. He was an aging mid that was being pushed out. Very similar to MaCrae.
