If he's keen - I think we can sign him for 2 so it'll take the pressure off him. If he gets the body right in that period and set himself up for a longer payout with us or elsewhere, then that's good outcome for him.

I'd offer 2 purely because he's our premiership player and been there with us all the way through the rebuild culminating in winning it. He deserves it at least from us so there's a bit of security for him.
Could go 3 years.

Looks like you are struggling to understand how concussions are managed anyway.

Happy to note other Lions posters do understand.

Hmm ..... Looks like you struggle to understand an emoji ....... lucky Lions posters do understand ....... Well, most anyway.

ps Like emoji (Haha) considered

I was thinking about to our game v Collingwood and how the Pies have built a list older than the notorious Dad’s Army Geelong sides

It got me thinking of how deep our list is while still brimming with youthful high-end talent…I know we’re looking at adding a specialist key forward/ruck to fill that very specific gap in our list but beyond that improvement, we will see annual internal development for at least the next 4-5 years

The blonde brigade of Wash, Lash, Fletcher and Lohmann plus Morris and Notty are all 21 or under…and only one of them has played more than 50 games! Bruce is 23 but has played less than 10 career games so he’s just getting started too.

That’s almost a third of our best 23…and Marshall, Gallup and Annable will push that even higher in the next 12 months!

There’s a little bit of commentary about the Young Lions in the national media but I think there’s going to a real ‘oh shiz’ moment of realisation for many of them 😳

If you add Wilmot to 21 and under group with 61 games- that'll make 2 players with 50+ games.

Edit : ah you did mention Notty, which must be referring to Motty. I take it back haha

Have we locked up Morris yet? He's going to get some big offers I think.

Logan smartly held off signing to see if he could back up last year and up his value. Done and done.

But would it be good use of a salary cap to spend so much on a ruck and play him forward or have to play Oscar forward?
No. I don't think it is a good use of salary cap to spend so much on a ruck anyway but to spend it on a ruck so that ruck can play out of their best position up forward or your other ruck can do the same would be insanity.

I did find it really interesting what Bucks said when we played a couple of weeks ago about Logan in his opinion being the new prototype key forward. Not overly tall but someone at 6'3 or just above who is a natural forward, can read the play really well and can run all day. There is always going to be exceptions like a 6'10 Darcy.

I reckon given one father sons and academy playwra we are looking to revolutionise AFL and play 18 midfielder.Mo need for rucks or key forwards. Trust me it's the way of the future

Tom Morris reporting on the AFL Free Agency list released today - Starc probably stays with the Lions & he thinks the Lions will get Oscar Allen.
