NWM is only dealing with us, he’s backing himself in to maximise his value (as you would knowing you’re the best player at a club with enormous cap space). He has not met with Adelaide, or the Port Adelaide. Yet. I’ve been told this won’t change.

That's absolutely true. What's the most profitable thing for his manager to say? "He's pretty happy where he is at this pleb club throwing huge contracts to anyone half-decent". Send a message that a big contract would have to accompany a return to his home state.

I have no idea what Nas is thinking but it would be stupid for his manager to publicly state he wants to stay or wants to leave. Keeping it ambiguous ensures the highest offers

I think everyone (Cal Towmey included) is just taking the opportunity to pile on us now that we’ve lost three in a row.

That our performance might sway NAS’s decision.

There’s an industry-wide narrative that no player would want to come to or stay with the Saints.

Like somehow teams like Carlton are more attractive prospects than us.
