Can’t say I agree that Marshall has 8 years of serviceable football left.Rowan has got minimum 5 years left of excellent football, 8 years maybe serviceability.
He's a durable footballer who has not had any injuries.
Why would we waste that on a draft pick who isn't a certainty of even playing that long?
I just don't get it.
But to answer your question. Everyone is howling about the club not addressing its midfield.
A number of people are saying we should be drafting them if we can’t trade or land them via FA.
If Marshall wants to leave or if the club want to trade Marshall because we now have TDK.
The only acceptable outcome in my eyes is positioning ourselves to get a top 10 pick to land that midfielder alongside our own pick.
It doesn’t guarantee anything. But we aren’t winning anything as is. We do know that getting more and more top 10 picks does eventually turn the tide and changes the trajectory of clubs.
