This time we have a serious foundation in place to springboard off. As long as they don't do anything dumb, we should become quite a strong list. Just need to pump the development in now.

2027 and 2028 could be the sweet spot where ...

• The kids have another 50 games into them and have cumulatively developed well
• Nas is top 5 or 10 in the competition.
• King is healthy and performing like 2022 again, or better. Add Higgins and Sharman and you've got potentially an elite forward mix.
• Wilkie, Marshall and Sinclair still performing strongly. Sinclair the oldest of the trio, turns 33 early in 2028.

That's a lot of IF's, but for the first time in a very long time, there's a genuine path towards being a top 4 team.

We are back to the 80's being Carlton dumping ground.
Take LDU, and Walsh, might as well go GSOS to go with Carroll, Dow, Stocker and Caminiti, because, you know, Carlton have been the powerhouse of the competition....well back.in the 20th century anyway

Oh good we have more A graders than the Hawks.

Who have you got as A at the Hawks this year? I'd say Day is probably A grade. Moore is having a shit year so swap them. They have a huge pool of Bs which is actually a lot more competitive that As and Cs like we are stacked with. Carlton have a huge pool of As and then suffer from too much of a gap too.

I reckon we probably need to go hard next season. Probably a 3 year window before the old guys start to tip over.
