With all this change would be really pushing to get the Walsh signature ASAP if possible. Also think it could be a good time to make a captaincy change and either he or Weitering would be really good options. Don't even mind the idea of those two being co-captains. Refresh the list, coaching group, football department and leadership group.

When was the last time one of our players got offered 1.7-1.8 over 8 years to go?
Charlie’s not forcing anything it’s not his style and not what he’s about.
Jack is Jack and there’s other stuff at play there.
Don’t fall the doom and gloom media rubbish.
We needed change and we’re getting change the senior core are about what the clubs doing and half the reason they looked checked out for most of the year is because of all the other stuff going on in the background.

Curnow hasn’t been told to look for a new home, he has said he’d like to be traded but has also said he’ll stay if Carlton can’t get a fair trade because he is contracted. That’s a fair bit different to the other 3.

He's an inconsistent kick. It's not that he can't kick.

Either way he's a quality young player, skills can be refined over time (obviously never going to be elite) but the running power he brings is elite and he's really improved his work in and around the contest this season.

If we’re gonna clean out the list id rather us start with all the players who can’t hit a target 15m away.

List decisions need to be made with a view to this being Walsh/Weitering/McKay's team.

Waite. 60 games. 125 goals. Zero compensation.

Vickery. 6 games. 2 goals. Second round pick.

I will caveat this by saying that I want Walsh to sign early to end speculation… However given what has happened over the past 24 seasons, a part of me wonders whether we would be better off going another full rebuild just to give people a clearer sense of the future

*what I would do given he isn’t the right age profile (so should not be a primary midfielder from 2026 onwards), and has been leading the playing group and failed to pull the group together sufficiently

Finish 2026 low enough on the ladder and you might end up 3 top picks (1st round, Walsh FA, Walker bid match) + enough salary to grab 1-2 big name FAs in 2027…
