the place needed a shake up I think Wright has got it underway. he's trying to get the club back. reset the culture, like a reboot. if davies is our new hof be interesting to see his input from afarWe need to have faith in the CEO and the coach. For way too long, as a club, we've allowed the players and the coteries control the club. I have faith that Wright will crack the whip and put the coteries in their place and get the players under control.
I hate to say this, but JSOS's attitude is emblematic of the issues the club has with the players. "I felt unloved by the club"... WTAF does that mean? The supporter base loved you because of your surname. The club wouldn't give you what you thought you were worth? FFS grow up you ****ing prat. You're a professional sportsperson... not a son/father/daughter/mother to the supporter base. If you want love, go see your dad. He wouldn't even show up for your 100th game celebration where you got your name on the locker below his and your grandfather. The supporters and the club gave you more love than your father did.
Some of our players would run through brick walls to play. Doc was a great example... after 2 bouts of cancer, and 3 ACL injuries... he still got up and came in to play. TDK, this year, couldn't run through a piece of tissue paper for the club. I can sort of understand him, 1.7 million is a big ****ing deal. But still, show some spirit next year sunshine or the Aint's supporters will realise what we did this year. You're there for the money.
We need to support Voss and the CEO... because if we keep letting the tail wag the dog, we won't have a dog in the game any more.
Why are you still 'supporting' the club if this is how you feel? Go and meditate or something, you need to chill out.I know TDK has been gone most of the year, and we will speculate and pick apart the the other two and find ways to lay the blame on the individual...but this club. This ****ing derelict, aimless, clueless, spineless, sham of a club.
Nonsense. The Club, for once, did the right thing when faced with outside noise. It's well past time for the tail to stop wagging the dog at Carlton. If players are 'unhappy', they can go. We only need players who are fully committed. Starting with Voss's confirmation, I'm pretty excited to see what the club is doing. It will be to our benefit. I can't wait to see how things develop next season.THe players don't believe in Voss and the club didn't sack him after the worst year imagineable. The player do not believe we are going anywhere. This decision to retain Voss is going to set the club back yet another 5 years.
You want Voss to be reappointed/extended NOW????Nonsense. The Club, for once, did the right thing when faced with outside noise. It's well past time for the tail to stop wagging the dog at Carlton. My support of the club isn't yours to question. Why are you still 'supporting' the club if this is how you feel? Go and meditate or something, you need to chill out.
I'm just pointing out that language isn't the language of a supporter, sorry, it just isn't. I don't 'blindly' accept anything. I've said before there have obviously been issues at the club, but what I'm seeing now are the most positive signs I've seen in a while. My support of the club isn't yours to question.
But FWIW supporting the club and blindly accepting incompetence don't need to go hand in hand.
I'm sorry, I meant his tenure for 2026 is confirmed, not suggesting he be reappointed at this stageYou want Voss to be reappointed/extended NOW????
I think he needs to show his face considering the volcanic unrest currently happening.
No, it is not "confirmed".I'm sorry, I meant his tenure for 2026 is confirmed, not suggesting he be reappointed at this stage

I'll support my club how I choose to.I'm just pointing out that language isn't the language of a supporter, sorry, it just isn't. I don't 'blindly' accept anything. I've said before there have obviously been issues at the club, but what I'm senow are the most positive signs I've seen in a while.
Do as you please, obviously, blindly following incompetence isn't the opposite of what you're doing, you can be critical without using the language you did.I'll support my club how I choose to.
I don't have to blindly follow incompetence.
Stand by every one of them.Do as you please, obviously, blindly following incompetence isn't the opposite of what you're doing, you can be critical without using the language you did.
That's fine, and I'll stand by my opinion that what you posted is the most disgusting anti-Carlton diatribe that I can remember reading on this board in 12 years.Stand by every one of them.
You only been here 12?That's fine, and I'll stand by my opinion that what you posted is the most disgusting anti-Carlton diatribe that I can remember reading on this board in 12 years.
No, it is not "confirmed".
He's the coach for 2026, regardless of what happens that could change that during the seaon. I'm willing, though, to bet that he's there for the full year and that we'll have a better start to the year. No, it is not "confirmed".
If the season starts poorly ie another weak, soft loss to the Tigers, he'll be gone within weeks.
The three players who could have most improved our on field fortunes in 2026 - Tom De Koning, Jack Silvagni and Elijah Hollands.
De Koning as a maturing ruck entering his prime, Silvagni as the smart, competitive CHB to work in tandem with Weltering, and Holland with his damaging use and decision making on the decades old black hole that is our HF line.
Not our best players...but best placed to build on the strengths and weaknesses we have as a team.
I know TDK has been gone most of the year, and we will speculate and pick apart the the other two and find ways to lay the blame on the individual...but this club. This ****ing derelict, aimless, clueless, spineless, sham of a club.
Every time I think we've bottomed out Tim the Demtel guy stirs from deep in my hippocampus to proclaim, but wait there's more.
Thank you for proving my point. So when they were actually decent:He's been at the Eagles for 7 years. They weren't rubbish in his first 4 years ... he has shown nothing. I'd only trade him in for the half time sprint, not football.
Must admit ... I too am wondering whether we would be better off without Charlie..? Scary thought.Charlie is a freak when he's fit and firing, and I’d genuinely love for him to stay. But if it came down to choosing between him and McKay, I’d honestly let Charlie go.
Again, I’d love to keep Charlie. But if the right offer comes in, I’d thank him for everything and back McKay to continue leading our forward line.
2 players? It's a shambles. I've never seen this level of players wanting out.
yep, they are certainly going somewhere and its not up.Nonsense. The Club, for once, did the right thing when faced with outside noise. I admire your optimism but Our Ruckman, Centre Half Back and Key Forward all are gone or want out. We have been unable to manage an enormous talent in Holland and he is gone. I have seen absolutely nothing from Voss in 4 years to even dream that he understands a sytem suitable to modern Football.if this isnt a catastrophe, Im not sure what is. Ive followed this club through the good and the bad for 50+ years and Im disillusioned with the direction of the club. In that time we have gone from being the most feared club in the game to an actual joke.Let's not catastrophise.
What system we play is more important than any player we lose or bring in next year.
We're also bringing back a few from injury that will help soften the blow anyway. Kemp, Jagga, Newman, Cottrell.
See Collingwood a few years back on how to bounce back.
