Got to say, I don't mind people being a bit dramatic about losing players. But turning up having barely posted all year to trash the club and then leaving again is pretty dire.
Suffer with us and you can complain, but turning up once a year to complain is BS

I’ve been pretty dirty in our performance this year in the seniors BUT I’ve been to a lot of our VFL games as I live very close to IKON.
The new blood are hungry, skillful and fast. This is a different development to cripps, McKay, Charlie, etc from 10 years ago. While the latter are very good for us, there’s a modernity about this new group that could really be something.
With our senior core, you might find that they step up a notch with the energy they bring in. The last month of football was a bit of a sniff of what the youth are bringing.

This. 100 percent. It’s a totally different development department now. Also noting it’s been easier the last few years to actually draft a kid and let them develop in the 2s and not have to rush them straight in because we have senior players now

SoS making moves over on Saints but it'll end in tears with overpayment & salary cap failure on last spots to fill. We just showed him that doesnt work.
Austin playing it safe as houses over here. Drip feeding our players to other clubs bit by bit in a planned mini reset. Good luck timing the reset vs Gold Coasts 3 first rounders every year plus their current talent a mile ahead of us across the park and growing in experience.
List mgmt should have shopped MCgovern and Cripps to WCE. Let TDK go to get draft captial. He should have delisted/trade/paid out Young. sourced Leek Aleer 12 months out. Kept JSoS. He needs to find two speedy kickers and a ruck better than pitto (with TDK/Cripps/Mcgovern capital). If he had of managed that, we'd of been in the firing line in top 8 in 2026.

2 + 1.8 + 0.8 + 0.8 =5.4 NWM, TDK JSOS, Ryan… almost 30% of the cap for 4 players. - A grade, and about 3 B grades on a good day.

Our fortunes will swap as they potentially make a move up. But i guess a sugar hit with no substance. In meantime, we drop and look to take on GC in 3 years.
I know its easy to keep forgetting about the King that St Kilda pay over $1 million per season because he rarely plays, but you need to add in his salary also.

The club essentially sold us a historically bad period to supposedly get back up the ladder and here we are in ****ing shambles.

Why - the rumour was the AFL put a group of F/S proposals to the clubs and they rejected them ?

That’s not the rumour at all.
The AFL met with clubs last week and made mention that changes would be coming to the first round.
Cal Twomey and Caroline Wilson have both mentioned first round lockouts.

Losing TDK and Jack is a blessing in disguise for me…gain a couple of picks and fix our salary cap. Both of which can be used to fill both our glaring weaknesses in speed and disposal.
You watch, we will be fine! Still got stars on every line. Get a few players that apply pressure, speed and clean disposal we’ll make finals.

Yeah, if there are well-published reports of Jack being offered 4-5 years at $650-800k, and be takes a one year deal on $500k at St Kilda, that's gonna attract some major scrutiny. Especially when his old man is the List Manager
Only heard the opposite re: B.King and wanting out of GC living and the football club.
