Maybe Newman that’s all I can think ofVoss as a player, or any of his team mates would have 110% done it. Voss as a coach letting one of our boys do it, I'm not sure but I'd like to see it

Geelong attract good players he will be good for them.Would of love to have a crack at Rowan Marshall
Saints will be crazy on trading him

️ power !!Pretty good.Sounds like :
Curnow > Sydney 1st + F1 + Hayward.
I’d like to work Dattoli into the trade somehow but concede there are legitimate reasons why Florent may be included despite personally not wanting a bar of him and his 4 year contract.
So then roughly :
Picks 9&10 traded up for a pick to secure Robey.
This guy seriously looks the goods
Pick 19 to mostly secure Dean.
Sydney F1 added to our natural F1 to mostly secure Walker.
Khamis mostly secured with current 2nd we hold.
Chesser, Reidy and Ison mostly secured via future pick upgrades/trades or even some kind of return on Acres and/or McGovern.
Would imagine next season’s trade period we would be armed and dangerous in the FA market
Projecting forward a year or two :
* For the sake of the discussion, let’s put Newman Williams Hewett Saad Haynes Pittonet to the side …
Wilson Weitering Dean
Cowan O’Farrell Chesser
Walsh Cripps Hollands
Robey Kemp Hayward
Moir McKay Motlop
O’Keefe Cerra Smith
Walker Lord Khamis Ison FA?
The forward line has transitioned towards a more modern mobile attack with the possible acquisition of a quality FA to further strengthen this division.
Wilson and Chesser add pace and kicking from defence.
Smith Robey and Walker add the star️ power !!
Hayward Moir and Ison add polish whilst Khamis plays as a genuine swingman.
Carlton are ready to emerge into a new era … both on and off the field …
Pretty good.
Only small flaws are, I dont think we can afford to trade 9+10 as a straight swap for a top 3 pick to get Robey. I could see us trading up but need at least a 2nd rounder back for Dean points. Cant rely on pick 20 alone to match bids for Dean and Ison.
Also, not sure we can rely on our F1 and Sydney's F1 alone to match Walker bid. Probably need another one or to swap for a guaranteed top 5 F1 (WestCoast)

The dream is that bidding changes are pushed back. Would massively increase our ability to trade up or grab a guy like Humphrey. AFL needs to confirm asap.Cheers mate
It is just a bit of a rough roadmap going forward ?
I’m very keen to add Smith Robey and Walker to the mix.
We can always trade some 2017 currency forward if we need some extra to make it work …
People need to stop with the, why would anyone want to come with us garbage.
It appears that Essendon in the massive heap they’re in, will still attract Flanders.
Saints have attracted plenty.
Melbourne who are a mess, seem they have players interested.
If we are refusing to overpay, it’s different to, no good player wants to come
Charlie in or out?If we get an additional "A" grader to Dean whether its pick 2 or the Humphrey, Butters fairy tale and pay for walker and Ison...this draft/ trade is a win. That is my benchmark
Charlie Out..Charlie in or out?

Cotters is the man for this jobWhere's Mitch Robinson when you need him?

As Keith Mckenzie, barrassi asst coach, once told me it is charisma and personality that attracts players. St. Kilda can roll out Lyon and SoS. Carlton have no one with Charisma. Voss has lost the lustre and Priestley has not got it. Dam pity Priestley couldn't see past self interest and accept Fitzpatrick in the interest of the clubSaints and Demons are terrible, but still can attract players, we can too
lt looks more like Wright is trying to reset the list & free up cap space for the following year and bring in young talent. As Keith Mckenzie, barrassi asst coach, once told me it is charisma and personality that attracts players. Interesting re-signing. That fills our Cat B quota for 2026 along with Duffy, so we'd have to take Clark and possibly Gresham on the senior or Cat A rookie list if we were to select them.Monahan one extra year

Kerry’s Rob Monahan signs one-year contract extension with Carlton Blues in the AFL
Former Kerry underage footballer Rob Monahan has agreed a new one-year contract with the Carlton Blues that will keep him at the Melbourne-based Australian Rules club for at least a third season in 2026.m.independent.ie
A bonus if we get AFL quality out of Monahan & Duffy (assuming only on his 2nd year in ‘26?).Interesting re-signing. That fills our Cat B quota for 2026 along with Duffy, so we'd have to take Clark and possibly Gresham on the senior or Cat A rookie list if we were to select them.
Monahan is an interesting one. Totally out of his depth in his first year, but in 2025 showed a lot of improvement to the point that he actually looked like an AFL player at state league level. Definitely not against him getting another year, although it will be a make or break assignment.
Not sure about Duffy's status. We signed him along with Monahan, but of course he did his knee in the Gaelic Football final and missed 2024, so not sure if that was technically the first year of his contract or 2025....although I would assume 2025 was the first year.A bonus if we get AFL quality out of Monahan & Duffy (assuming only on his 2nd year in ‘26?).
Monahan can hopefully return forward with a bit more nous about the game..
