Greedy Buggers!Well Charlie is about to find out how much the Cats actually rate and desire to get him.
It’s going to be very humbling
Halle Berry or Michelle Pfieffer pleaseWhat if they chuck in cat woman
Where’s Adam Saad
Salary dump, do we also get a pick with that as well? And most likely a genuine salary dump so would come for quite little I'd think.

Pretty confident Kemp and Saad would be in that team ahead of Evans, and one of Carroll or Cottrell. Newman or Dean might be struggling ahead of Carroll at that stage. Moir also not a lock (but we're obviously hoping for the best). So on the rumoured ins our 2026 line up looking something like this?
Harry Dean - Jacob Weitering - Lachie Cowan
Nic Newman - Nick Haynes - Ollie Florent
Sam Walsh - Patrick Cripps - Campbell Chesser
Marc Pittonet - Jagga Smith - George Hewett
Ben Ainsworth - Hudson O'Keefe - Zac Williams
Ashton Moir - Harry Mckay - Will Hayward
Adam Cerra - Matthew Carroll - Sullivan Robey - Matthew Cottrell - Francis Evans
Not bad but certainly can't see us competing for a flag with that team as it is. Certainly a lot more balanced in terms of outside run and class.
In a few years time however, a lot of those pieces would compliment some of the young talent we've got coming through like Jagga, HOF, Ison, Cody etc.
Sub already gone next year so 5 on benchSaad will be 5th on the bench or sub if they still have one
Not there because he's lost interest in defendingWhere’s Adam Saad
It’d help if the midfielders applied pressure further up the groundNot there because he's lost interest in defending

It'd help if he stood next to his opponent and stopped ball watching tooIt’d help if the midfielders applied pressure further up the ground![]()
That’s all of the team mateIt'd help if he stood next to his opponent and stopped ball watching too

Why watch your man when you can watch the ball? It'd help if he stood next to his opponent and stopped ball watching too
We will not move forward as a footy club until Saad is no longer in the best 22. His deficiencies were brought forward in the back half of this year and the occasional highlight does not get around his lack of defensive pressure and poor decision making and the constant hoof to no one that puts the entire defence under unnecessary pressure. I am not sure if champion data do a stat on scores caused from turnovers but if they did I would think Saady would be in the top few in the league.Saad will be 5th on the bench or sub if they still have one
His early re-signing and retention surprised me. Must be a big positive in the locker room. Still has a little to offer, but we can bank on this being his final year.We will not move forward as a footy club until Saad is no longer in the best 22. None of what i said was a slant on Adam the person, everything I have seen, read and heard suggests he is a great bloke and will go down as a very good footballer who has an All Australia jacket.. however the fact we are still reliant on him as our main playmaker, runner and distributer out of defence is a knock on the list management and coaches that they have not identified anyone better. There is no chance Saad gets a game in any of the sides who played finals in 2025 and we need to move past him as well. His early re-signing and retention surprised me. I don’t have him in front of the emerging kids or Newy. Will be an interesting watch.
Leek was offered 900k, I thought-Khamis maybe half that-so salary could be an issueLeek has far more upside than Buku and will cost similar in salary and trade.
The $900k was Saints dollars which are not real, and not the market rate. Now they are out, his market rate is prob around $650-700Leek was offered 900k, I thought-Khamis maybe half that-so salary could be an issue
I don't know whether we've told Buku we've got him pencilled in as a defender or not, but believe he can also play forwards.Doesn't matter if we think Aleer is better. We have committed to Buku. Terrible look what Saints have done. I think it hurts them long term.
If Im Aleers management stable I am steering any clients away from them going forward.
Also, Aleer would cost more then Buku in terms of both picks and salary, plus can't play forward (Buku provides depth at both ends)
