"pr stunt". lol, way too many egos on this board, honestly. Mitch Cleary did absolutely nothing wrong, never said Jackson wanted out, used his words very well. Mitch is also one of very few good journalists in this sport and knows interstate lists quite well.
Melbourne aren't desperate either, they're just trying to better themselves, which is what every sporting club does. This isn't some petty move because of Kozzie, that's just nuffie mindset.
I dont even mind him that much normally but that twat just said, "only listen to Vic based people".Love that. Don't cop s**t from a failed firefighter of 5 seconds who makes a living by bullying people.
It genuinely annoys me that Corners earns a high paycheque for a living and sheep constantly mention his name, further increasing his pay yearly.
Unicorns are rarer than Small forwards imo.If we can move him for Pickett that's a win IMO.
Not ideal though.

That's a new level of being a flog for flogs sake.
Even on the cap thing, we clearly seem to have no problem still fitting everyone in if we can bring in Bolton and Pickett back to back while re-signing Brayshaw, Young and anyone else we want. Darcy must be on a much better deal than we all thought. He also said this morning on SEN - '2 ruckman taking up all the cap. One never plays because of injury and the other one doesn't want to be there.' - which literally is the EXACT OPPOSITE of every single piece of reporting on this matter. Even Cleary went out of his way to confirm that Jackson is happy here.
So yeah, get stuffed Kane
Where’s this from? Different angle than all the other articlesThe curious part for me is these snippets of the reporting:
PERSONAL circumstances on both sides of the country are clouding Luke Jackson’s Fremantle future.
Complex family issues beyond his control last year saw Jackson deeply unsettled in Perth.
Such was the turbulence in his personal life Jackson spent most of the off-season on the Victorian surf coast with his girlfriend Kelsey Browne.
But the club is still navigating some of the personal dynamics around Jackson in an attempt to help him.
Don't like speculating on personal stuff but its hard to comprehend how Perth would all of the sudden become this way for him

My God, Ralph shutting it down, what world are we living in...From Ralphy
Fremantle star Luke Jackson told his management only days ago he wanted to play in the club’s first premiership despite a new relationship that will see Victorian clubs asking about his services.
Melbourne-based clubs have not given up hope of luring Jackson home despite five more seasons on a contract that will pay him over $4 million in that time.
Given the trade period is seven months away anything could happen despite him being traded from Fremantle three years into his career.
But Jackson is understood to have told his management across the weekend it was a lifestyle choice to come back home which he wanted to see out.
He was aware of murmurs about his future at that stage.
But he is chasing Fremantle’s first flag (he was part of the 2021 Demons premiership) and is largely happy at the Dockers after moving home three years into a career that started at Melbourne.
His preferred position is to play first ruck or around the ball as a modern-day rover rather than spending his time predominantly as a key forward.
He lives in Fremantle, has two properties in the west and enjoys the beach lifestyle that is part of being a Dockers player.
Jackson told the club on Sunday he was content at Fremantle and he has a deal through to 2029 that the Dockers would not release him from.
Jackson, 23, is in a relationship with former Australian Diamond and Fox commentator Kelsey Browne, who is working with the West Coast Fever in media and commentary.
Fremantle would never consider a trade for a player with 10 more seasons to play at the Dockers, with five years remaining on his current deal.
So while Jackson might have been open-minded about moving to Victoria he will see out his deal at Fremantle.
The Dockers have the option of sweetening a contract that is incentive-laden and pays him extremely well but not in the top echelon of AFL players.
Just as Essendon’s Zach Merrett was able to use rival interest to ensure his contract was one of footy’s most lucrative, Jackson could also cash in.
The 23-year-old’s deal doesn’t give him the guaranteed money that many of the game’s stars have been able to secure.
He is able to earn over $800,0000 a year if he hits incentives, but as the Herald Sun revealed last year there will be as many as 60 AFL millionaires by 2027.

Makes more sense than that they get 0% on existing contracts. When players move the first year is usually bigger, usually the first couple of years - as Colin Young would say, you pay them to move and you pay them up front - so there is in effect a signing bonus if not an actual signing bonus where the agent gets more at the start of the new deal.
So they are incentivized to move them.
I'm shocked, Ralphy of all people wrote that? Wow!My God, Ralph shutting it down, what world are we living in...
And yeah, crazy how fast the contracts have moved. Jackson could play as "poorly" as he did last year and its still a good contract.
