They pulled their interest in him due to having young defenders already and they didn't get rid of MayI assume Melbourne try and pick him up as an SSP after backing out of trading for him

Hobbs and Lual delisted by the bombers.
Though Lual looked alright this year.
I think Essendon were tossing up between Hobbs and Johnson IIRCHobbs was once a draft competitor to Erasmus and Johnson if I recall. Think he'd go ok at another club, although we probably don't need him having just traded out Brodie.
Hang on do we mean a trough style communal urinal or one of the wall mounted porcelain ones? If he was able to stand in the latter at least he would be bringing other skills to the table.Hobbs couldn’t hit a urinal if he was standing in it.
If there is only around 50-55 picks then good chance Whan and definitely Ryda Luke make it through to rookie.![]()
Bombers, Suns set to dominate draft as record low looms
Between 44 and 57 picks are anticipated at this year's AFL Draftwww.afl.com.au
Well there we go. A record low number of picks expected
Very curious about the impact of the free match after 40 being introduced this year, if you aren’t forcing a club to use valuable picks to match, will clubs even bother bidding after 40?If there is only around 50-55 picks then good chance Whan and definitely Ryda Luke make it through to rookie.

I think Essendon were tossing up between Hobbs and Johnson IIRC
TBF his draft profile read a lot like Brodie. If you need a player who wins the ball at stoppage he's your man. If you need someone who can actually do something with it....Hobbs couldn’t hit a urinal if he was standing in it.

Wow quite a few busts through the teens of that 2021 draft!Hobbs and Lual delisted by the bombers.

Was it always straight up next pick or did you need to make up the points last year?Free match after 40 has been in for years
If a club wants a player then they make the bid, simple as that
Sometimes clubs will let em go, for example, Mac Andrews brother last year was passed on
Mason Cox has stated that he wants to keep playing for another club.

Premiership Pie keen on second club
A Collingwood premiership player isn’t willing to wave goodbye to the AFL after being delisted – he wants to contribute at a second club in 2026.thewest.com.au

I think they'd keep the 3 talls 2 rucks structure the same and omac would come in as first choice. If omac wasn't available maybe it's change the thinking about structureReality is:
If Darcy gets injured, Jackson will ruck. We will play the same 3 tall forwards, one part time in the ruck.
If Jackson gets injured, a mid will come in. We will play the same 3 tall forwards, one part time in the ruck.
If both get injured, we need someone who is a ruck first and foremost.
The unknown is: What if Treacy/Voss/Amiss got injured. Would Jackson go back forward? Would we play shorter? Does Omac come in again? Do they want a ruck who can cover the forward role (I doubt it, as Jackson and Darcy are both in the team).
I think we need a ruckman - not too concerned about the ability to play forward.
He dontIt would be funny if Mason Cox of Texas only wants to continue his career in Victoria.
