A rolling draw. Everybody plays everybody the same number of times on average over a 2-3 year period. There will still be luck involved in the double ups but it won’t be embedded like it is now.

The AFL knew that rich, eagles and north would be basket cases this year. Giving finalists from last year two double ups against those teams is the issue. Should never happen. We missed finals and dont get to play any of them twice. Given the top 4 is so critical it’s just free points and huge %.

The Cats definitely worry me. But it’s as much about the coaching as it is about personnel. There’s not a lot of love between Fly and Scott, and Fly has admitted that Scott is hard to coach against.

In that battle, I’ll back Fly. He learns and innovates, and will be ready for Scott next time - whenever that is.
