Long annoys me because he turns the ball over and makes poor decisions
And despite 3 poor months he actually kept getting picked so yes that one was strange because he did get backed in
Parker and Allan don’t get enough opportunities
Let’s hope next year they give west reef and Harvey plenty of opportunities

Most clubs would be very satisfied with a midfield of Neale, Mcluggage and Dunkley, oh no, you can roll these others through there if you like. Bailey, Ashcroft x 2, Fletcher, Rayner, Berry…..

Ed has deficiencies but looking at Marshall yesterday I’d prefer Allan

Doesn’t even need to be a wildcard round which in itself can distort outcomes

I think they should just rotate on a yearly basis who each team plays twice. And you never play the same team twice if you played them twice last year, similarly next year should be a different six to this year and last year.

Every team plays the same number of games against every other team ( approximately) over a rolling 3-4 year period.

Obviously including a bit of tweaking based on ladder positions

This will even up the draw over the medium term. Obviously from year to year some teams will get a good run and others not so much, but it won’t be embedded

Problem is, as you've noted, that your solution makes it more likely that an unjust fixture will still result because play Adelaide this year compared with last year or the year before -- totally different.

There's still variation within a season but much less.

I say, play every team once.

The AFL can get their money-grubbing hands on cash elsewhere like investing in the arms industry or child labour or something -- I'm sure they'll find a way.

The only footy media people I can I recall picking Lions were Abbey Holmes, Kate McCarthy, Sarah Jones, Jonathon Brown, Alistair Lynch. The last 2 for obvious reasons.
