No way he's gonna drop Doc... unless they invent an injury for him, he is never going to be omitted no matter what.

Voss was talking about settling the back 6, giving them a chance to "grow"... hahaha the irony...

imo, our back 6 needs to be more balanced... get rid of the turnover merchants. Gov's kick in blunder was nothing short of embarrassing. Ollie, 15 meter pass in d50 gets cut off... seriously get these blokes the hell out of there...

Doc trying to hit a team mate surrounded by 4 opponents with a pinpoint pass in our d50... fmd... then there was the kick up the wing to I kid you not, Motlop v FOUR... it's insanity persisting with this bloke.

Haynes had a better game but fmd he's done nothing to convince anyone other than our idiotic coaches/selection panel that he needs to be out there... 1 tackle and 6 pressure acts all night when the ball was down there majority of the game... Young laid 5 tackles (2i50) and 9 pressure acts. As slow and inept as he is with his decision making... at least he is getting in there... Haynes is cooked.

Saad - Weitering - Young
Boyd - Silvagni - Carroll
Walsh - Cripps - Acres
Elijah - Harry - Williams
Motlop - Charlie - Kemp
TDK - Hewett - Cerra

White - Lord - Ollie - Fog

Sub: Moir

IN: Carroll - Boyd - Elijah - Harry
OUT: Doc - Gov - Haynes - Cowan (inj)

Not inspired by a lot of the players in that line up. I'd MUCH prefer if Harry and Elijah had to earn their call up, but at this point, they are required.

Young to the back line over Haynes... fmd... but yeah, Haynes is that bad, I just see more upside in Young back there than a 33 year old... LAST CHANCE for Young to show something (even though I know he will give more of the same)...

Fog the ghost remains unless Durdin can really show something tomorrow night.

Walsh on the wing ffs.

Ollie is on very thin ice... won't get the chop because he kicked 2 goals but the stuff he did last night... cost us more than 2... crazy...
I'm still not 100% sold on moving Walsh to the wing but really like your changes. And I would also be heavilly considering Durdin for Fogarty if he performs in the VFL as you said.

Really keen to get to the VFL tonight. Love a night game at Ikon. But very interested in seeing if a few can stand up and replace some of our AFL stars.

For me if the following perform and are fit they walk in to the AFL team.

E Holland's replace Doc
Boyd for Cowan (inj)
Matt Carroll for Gov or Haynes don't care with
McKay for Moir (stupidity to even play him, isn't ready.)
Binns for Acres
Durdin for Motlop

Not saying all these will or should happen. But something has to change.

We can't keep going with a stupidly tall defence. If Cowan was fit id drop Gov and Haynes and go with Weitering, JSOS and Young. People love bagging Young. But he is less of a liability than Gov and Haynes at the moment and it isn't close.

Seniors

FB:
Haynes - Weitering - Saad
HB: Boyd - Silvagni - Williams

C: Walsh - Cripps - Acres
OB: TDK - Cerra - Hewett

HF: Motlop - McKay - EHollands
FF: Durdin - Curnow - Kemp

Interchange: Lord (OB), OHollands (B/W), Docherty (U) and White (F)

Sub: McGovern

Young replaced by McKay
Cowan replaced by Boyd
Moir replaced by EHollands
Fogarty replaced by Durdin

Young unlucky but we have a pretty good spine that should play whenever available.

Williams, Docherty and Boyd to actually get some run going out of defence.

EHollands because he atleast knows where the goals are.

Durdin probably underdone but he atleast has pace/agility.

This game starts this Sunday, the day after our VFL match.

The wash up from our last match is that we were basically too soft around the ball and lacked composure under pressure.

With Gather Round at the back drop of this game, we need to be consistent in our messaging throughout the lead up to the game.

We cannot get wrapped up and distracted by the event. If we do then the players will get too comfortable. We’re at an absolute knifes edge.

All I want to see from this Sunday onwards is a clear message from the club from then all the way up to the game..

Get the mouthguards ready, ingest a bit of concrete and harden the f*** up!!

Let West coast get wrapped up in the festivities. Don’t do media if you’re not up to keeping the same consistent message.

All I want to hear is that we are cracking in and coming to Adelaide for a hot contest on the 12th of April and we’re ready to fight for 4 quarters.

We do that then I think we’ll get a result but anything else and the comp will smell the defeatist attitude from a mile away.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BE GAINED by dropping White and Moir...What are we telling the kids, "you've had your one game, are ya happy, now piss off back to the ressies"

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOSE in dropping McG and Doc...what can we tell them, well, "you've been shithouse and conditional all year, go and see what it's like to play off Broadway for a while, you might appreciate what you've lost a bit more"

PS. With Doc, try and get him to retire...as someone else suggested, do the honorable thing and free up a list spot!!!

Yep 100% no point in dropping either. Some perspective Nick Watson got 5 disposals on debut.

White I agree with should definitely be persevered with but Moir was terrible Thursday night…it was like playing one short. Whilst that’s no worse than Evans, if Elijah is fit and ready to go then Moir should be the one to make way.

I agree 110% about Gov and Doc. They have been horrible for 4 straight weeks but this week we have some options to replace them, so Voss has no excuse. I feel the players have let Voss down but if he doesn’t start making tough calls he’ll be out of a job.

I hear you but the issue for me is that I don't think Evans is ever going to help us win games now or in the future.

In the future I think Moir will so feel the quicker we get him up to speed the better.

I'm giving West Coast and North games a miss

If we beat a half decent team then I'm interested ... but not these two cellar dwellers.
I'm certainly not going to get all juiced up if we manage to get a win against the 2 worst teams.
If Carlton lose to either of these 2 ... then we become one of the 2 worst teams in the AFL.

If Charlie or Harry boot 4-5 against these mobs ... spare me the 'Blues are Back! headline ... please.

Voss has said that the last match and the start of the season isn’t acceptable, so lets see if he backs it up at selection.

I cringe every time McGovern goes for the ball, we dont need all of Young, SOS, GOV and Haynes, get rid of one.

Doc is a mess and needs a week or two off to assess his situation.

Moir was brought in after barely getting a touch in the VFL and barely touched the ball, he or a few other smalls need to be sent to the 2s.

Cow out.

Make a statement Voss, drop 4 players, get serious.

Very early changes (pending injury report/players back from break)
INs: H.McKay, E.Hollands, J.Boyd, M.Cottrell and M.Carroll
OUTs: L.Young, S.Docherty, N.Haynes, L.Cowan, A.Moir, and L.Cowan (inj)

McGovern last chance.

Moir cannot run and shouldn't be playing right now. I understand the sentiment but you can't keep someone in the team who genuinely cannot run out a half of footy.

Matt Carroll - Weitering - Mitch McGovern
Jordan Boyd - Silvagni - Adam Saad
Blake Acres - Cripps - Ollie Hollands
Elijah Hollands - Harry Mckay - Will White
Jesse Motlop - Charlie Curnow - Brodie Kemp
Tom De Koning - George Hewett - Adam Cerra

Sam Walsh - Lachie Fogarty - Zac Williams - Cooper Lord

Corey Durdin
Only question mark (and I had the same with my team) is there are only 6 defenders in that team.

And you can't keep playing him as sub as it hurts his development
VFL until the 2nd half of the year then. He made massive strides last year over the course of the season in terms of his fitness and application. I like Moir's natural talent but he's a way off consistent AFL games
