Trades 2025 Round 13 Trades

Two scenarios for my end of round 15 team:

• Roberts Macrae and 500k player at flex, 4 trades left or 3 (Could flip Roberts to Caldwell this week, or Darcy later)

• Jackson, Brayshaw but rookie at flex, 3 trades left

Both options will have Butters and Richards, 2nd option sounds tempting but probably should stick with the 23 premo route.

For some reason I am less urgent about Bont than others, if he gets his projected 128 for example, his BE next week is 147. Butters could potentially hit his low point quicker.

NFI this week. Caldwell is tempting, but risky. Bont is going to burn me whichever way I go with him. Want to keep upgrading, but want something a but different. Contemplating a Sinclair/ cerra roughie or maybe even see if LDU can burn me 3 years running.

Clarke in for Cleary is about all that's locked in right now.

Holmes with his draw IMO. Six more GMHBA games (has went 125, 72 [tag], 134, 128 there this year), plus games against Essendon, Richmond (x2), St Kilda and North on the run home. DPP also handy with all the dead rooks floating around.

There's at least a chance (albeit a small one) that HH and SEH play again this year. Simpson is done.

What a time to be alive. People are trading in Luke Pedlar. Asshat Jason Prior is STILL in my team. Isaac Kako remains an on field fixture in my forward line. But the exact moment my season died was early in the year when I drunk rage traded a late out Tom Stewart for James Sicily

So gotta fix THAT problem first.

A long way from the planned “grab Bont off the bye and a cheap Zerrett” visions I once had.

Looking down the barrel of a gun at this point in the season.

With only 5 players in my side left who I could use as upgrades that have made some coin.

Bice, Flynn, Lindsay, Lashcroft then Visentini.

The rest are or have been dead rookies or really slow burns. Like Kako and Finn O’Sullivan, who both may have to be season keepers to cover injuries with their DPP.

So only 5 cash grabs to make during the byes to use for upgrades. With 4-6 upgrades to go and 14 trades left.

It is getting really tight to get to 23 premium players.




The final upgrades - D6, M7 & M8, F5 and F8 (Lashcroft currently thinking maybe hold) then finally Flex.

i could just rush and burn to get there quickly, though I reckon I will just dig my own grave and be left with a bench full of red dots, no injury trades left and no cash.

Lucky I have a side that fields well for this week and the R14 & R15 byes.
Round 16 is a whole different kettle of fish and resigned to taking a beating that round with at least 6 good Premiums gone.

So my thoughts are to fix dead rookies and maybe make a little bank with 5 trades, 3 this week, 2 bubble boys and one midseason draftee.

That puts $250k in bank, hopefully starts cash generation again and removes dead rookies like Simpson.

Only downgrade up until round 14 then smash 4-5 upgrades for final 2 byes. Probably also a no trade round if no players pop up or are on the bubble.

Sorry for another long winded post, trying to solve a problem that seems to have no solutions.

A Wildcard Chip would be very handy about now.

Edit: with news of my 3rd downgrade being hopeful first gamer Tom McCarthy a no show.
Shifted gears back down to 2nd to keep the wheels spinning in a drift.
So dumping one of my 6 rucks in Flynn and jumping on the boat with Noah Anderson

Back to no cash and still 5-6 upgrades with 11 trades left but M1 to M7 looks awesome. With Bont, Noah, Butters, Dawson, Neale, Zerret and Naicos at M7..Lindsay at M8 for a few more weeks.

May just cop the rookie at D6 and F6 to get my final preseason midfield target and finish midfield off with a heavy punch.

If for example you had these players on bench.
HH, SEH, Moraes, Gross and Paton.

I would fix HH and SEH with trades.

Paton’s DPP could be handy even as a dead rookies for loop or DPP swings/trades.

SEH could be a late season bolter but doesn’t seem in favour with Scott.
I have traded him out, it could be a regret.
