Good post.
I feel disappointed for Lemmey though. He'd constantly be told that when Harry and Charlie are out or in bad form then he'd get a game if he's performing, and yet here we are.
He on the AFL list - not the VFL list.
He needs to play and get the full experience.
Id love to see him play the sub role, have a quarter when key backs are tiring and then play the reserves game the next day. Be a nice warm up for the more ‘serious’ reserves game. lol.

Changes are meh for mine.
But at least let’s move the magnets around a little and play some players to their strengths.
Get Cowan/durds/cinc more involved in the midfield and get them to use there speed and power away from stoppage.
Try a new dynamic
Should mean Flynn young gets a full game and isn’t sub

Good

I don't have any issues at all with the changes.

Admittedly I'm a Durds fan, but he's an improvement on Evans....who, with all due respect, is a good VFL player. Acres has been awful all year and probably struggling after an interrupted preseason. Cincotta rested from the VFL last week for this exact reason.

For all those wanting wholesale changes, as others have mentioned, the young kids would be playing off a 4 day break. Shithouse scheduling from the AFL/VFL but it is what it is.

Thought we’d get a debut from Campo, Lemmey or Charleson.
Would have made the trip more bearable. Cinc to Zorko this time doesn’t excuse the massive f u last year.
Both Campo's and Gary deserve AFL experience. But to be fair on the selectors, they have to include some mature bodies, no matter how underwhelming Durds and Cinc have been.
Harry, Saad and HOK might be available next week to at least increase the options.

Acres out is a step in the right direction.

But who comes in if Williams gets pulled before the game? Acres right back in?

Would prefer to play more kids like the Campos but they should smash us so probably want to avoid another Port like introduction for Ben or whoever else debuts

Yes, Flynn must play a full ****ing game Vossy.

Imagine busting your ass for 5 years to get another chance after your draft year only to be a sub in two absolute beltings and still have to wait until the game is completely dead to get on.

Feel sorry for him.

I get it for the first game but two in a row seems just so bloody conservative.

I know he’s having a tough time but Voss said the effort was deplorable in his 3/4 time speech caught on camera. So he drops a couple of fringe players and the leaders get away with it, again.

He just doesn’t get it.

Coaches finally grow a pair and drop an underperforming blacres, only to promote possibly the worst performed AFL listed player from last week's VFL game.

Plus a player that didn't play at all last week.

It's so annoying and wrong but at the same time, every week the young guys don't play with the seniors this year is probably a positive.

Its funny reading what is wrong with the coaching and selections and then watching footage from the game being dissected by a couple of blokes who do a fair job of it - only to see ( again) just how pathetic the players aer at decision making and execution - wings and HBFer's dont even look sideways for options that are more often than enough there- O Hollands and Docherty are prime examples of really poor decision makers with ball in hand as is Acres Carlton is far too straight line from behind with kicks and no one seems to have the ability to run any angles what so ever - apart from Walsh and he is out and Cripps but he is too slow.

Very frustrating watching this stuff - like very frustrating. Collingwood won the softest contested ball against the mids by so often just nudging the ball out of the contested area with a foot or a hand straight to players positioned for it - so much smarter than the Carlton collective. FMD what a shamozzle. How often do teh miods have to do the same thing before they realise if they all go in for the ball ther eis no one to give off to if they get it - and ther eare plenty of opposiotn waiting on the outside 0 uncovered?!!!!

Who is coaching this rubbish! Motlop and the other smalls on the rare occassions they manage to get into the forward fifty from HBF defending - have ZERO idea what to do in the forward line- guarding space as in a ZOne FFS. Ther is no one in teh forward line calling for teh ball except Charlie.

Hopefully Brisbane dont get the rub of the green with every bounce and some Carlton players get a disposal efficiency closer to 65% than 20% - might make it interesting for a while.

The big question will be will we put in for 1 quarter or 2?

Weak selection statement as expected. Why bother playing TDK if he's not gonna primarily ruck. Shame for the Campo twins, Lemmey and a couple others to be constantly overlooked by the yoyos (Durdin, Evans etc.)

Acres should have been dropped months ago, and has been dropped before without playing VFL. Him and Evans dropped. Durdin and Cincotta on the revolving platform back in.

Voss trusting Curnow, Gov, Weiters, TDK, Doc and Cripps once more. Fog stays in. Unfortunately wouldn't get a game anywhere else anymore.

Did they promise to respond this time, pinky promise?

So underwhelmed.
Are you suggesting Cripps should be dropped?

Evans was average but so were many others. It’s seems to be same names that constantly get shuffled without actually changing anything

Cincotta dropped last week, didn’t play reserves, then brought back in

I don’t get it

Think the best way I can see it, Voss knows his job is at major risk... can't win games dropping seniors, but also, likely to get slaughtered with too many kids.

He's desperate right now... feel sorry for him, but this is what happens when you try to be their mate instead of their coach... he should have set and enforced standards long ago...

Are you suggesting Cripps should be dropped?

I'm suggesting he has had an average season, and he has not exhibited the discipline or footy smarts that Voss has required of him. He has burnt his teammates consistently, and has returned to trying to do too much himself.

As to whether he should be dropped or not, I can't say. Others are ahead of him for sure, but I have been disappointed at his rehearsed media appearances, followed by him not doing what he said the team were going to do.

Too little too late. He should’ve been dropped weeks ago. Ditto Doc and Fogarty.

Can’t believe Fog survived….

He's an honest toiler, but I am pretty certain that no other team would pick him up if we delisted him.

Think there might be

A) Some management to keep players eligible for VFL finals

B) Some assessment being done of those in danger of delisting at season’s end.

Perhaps someone shares your sentiment about keeping the young ones together as a “unit”.

5 of the young guys live together, so they would be a pretty close 'unit' regardless of where they play i would think.

That said, i'm ok with them holding Lemmey out for another week if its just to give him a softer landing next week instead of debuting against the premiers.
