Hard to know what to do this week if anything at all. Thinking of just SPP > Lindsay (Hewett to fwds) as next week I may need to bring in Baz, Lash and Hall.

It's the right play if you have nailed the rooks and mid pricers. Problem occurs if you need to fix 4-5 problems next week and have to sacrifice. If there's a gilt edge option missed I think it's fine to go a week early.
We get 40 trades this year with 5 boosts. lots of trades in the first few rounds, then batches over the byes. No reason to be tight with em unless your team is perfect.
I'm leaning towards no trades but if VC Cerra fails I might trade out Cleary who is my only donut at this stage. No idea who to trade Cleary to though, Paton or Bice don't really appeal

Nice summary, there's risk either way. Risk of lack of information vs risk of missing out next weekAny trade carries risk. The more information you have, the less the risk.
Trading this week on what for most players is only one week's information is obviously higher risk than trading next week when you have 2 weeks' worth.
Making a rookie correction this week frees up a trade for next week. Get it right and you potentially get a head start on the pack. I reckon 95% of the posters here would use an extra trade next week to bring in a juicy bubble boy if they could.
Get it wrong and you have wasted a trade and probably cost yourself some points.

Last year was the first year I saw people copping so many donuts. Most ran out of trades very early because of all the injuries in mid-late season. The way injuries have started this year, that trend might continue. Last year has made me be more cautious with trades, not the opposite. We did, and teams that traded aggressively early did much better than those that were cautious. Its not like 2018 pr whatever when we had 24 and each trade was worth its weight in gold. I turned Short into SDK because it free's up 80k which basically pays for the trade and gives me heaps more options in the critical first bubble rounds.
Bang on, risk Vs reward.Any trade carries risk. The more information you have, the less the risk.

May i ask where you saw this info? For those with Finlayson he was training with the mids yesterday.
Which would potentially indicate that he will be playing up forward and being the 2nd ruck (which he is useless at) this week.
I've been playing SC for nearly 20yrs (since inception) and all my best scores have come when I've been able to watch the most football.

Nah, red dot will be handy. This week is all about getting Lashcroft and Bazza.
The earliest we can possibly run out of trades is r16 from memory.Last year was the first year I saw people copping so many donuts. I don't think so myself. Are either of the below rookies, that aren’t in my team, who are on the bubble worth considering?
Ned Long - Good last week but De goey back this week.
Corey Warner - 72 in Round 1, 50 Rd 0. A couple of goals boosted his score, worth some thought?
Not totally sold on either, but could be convinced.
I think Warner is as good as any other rookie at the same price. Are either of the below rookies, that aren’t in my team, who are on the bubble worth considering?

I’m leaning that way too, but I do have Garcia and Wicks at F4&5. Will give them one more week though I think, unless they get dropped of course.I don't think so myself.
Long maybe as he capable of a hundred but I doubt he keeps his role.
Probably worth considering if you have a player injured or omitted on those lines and want a bubble boy replacing. But both have byes soon so no cash gen for that weekAre either of the below rookies, that aren’t in my team, who are on the bubble worth considering?

Did you pick Wicks after round 0 thinking he would replicate that?I’m leaning that way too, but I do have Garcia and Wicks at F4&5. Will give them one more week though I think, unless they get dropped of course.
Yeah, I thought Wicks looked good Round zero. Didn’t see last week’s game though. I’m happy to give Wicks one more as he should at least make his break even, and it’s B18.Did you pick Wicks after round 0 thinking he would replicate that?
Atr you picking Warner thinking that he'll replicate last week?
But if you had the cash to go SPP to Baz in one trade this week, you'd be tempted, wouldn't you?Just seems to me like things could be the total opposite again after this round.
For every shit rookie score you trade out, could be you getting burnt when they ton up the following week.
Need at least 2 games of evidence before ruling things out IMO, unless someone is injured.
For example, Riley Sanders. I've got that kent and his 64 doesn't do anything for my trousers... but i'm not going to throw the toys out of the cot after 1 round when he could just as easily punch out a 120 this week and make me look like a total moron for wasting a trade getting rid of him.
Likewise point chasing with SDK when he could get chopped up in the ruck this week and suddenly Stanley is playing again.
Lindsay could punch out a shit score this week....
Tsatas could come good....
Davidson could come good, on and on things could totally get flipped on their head again.
Makes sense waiting another week IMO, but each kent to their own![]()
Oh god do itBut if you had the cash to go SPP to Baz in one trade this week, you'd be tempted, wouldn't you?
One of his goals came from an academy award free kick, so doesn't pass the pub test. Are either of the below rookies, that aren’t in my team, who are on the bubble worth considering?
