Umm am I missing something with the outs besides HOF?
We need to get quicker, Lord basically replaced Cerra this week with great structural success but petered out in the 3rd quarter. Cerra is set to return, so might as well be a straight swap.

McGovern is listed as an R22 return, so he can be a straight swap for O'Farrell.

Evans for Wilson is me hoping we'll deploy him at wing & HB, giving Hollands the odd spell from midfield and speeding up our forward group by giving Williams and Flynn Young more minutes there. Motlop can come on in the third or as needed.

Lord Fog HOF out Lord especially looked almost comical trying to chase and or break a tackle. Not sure what he adds to the midfield. Especially when you have Moir freezing his ass off in the forward line or on the pine.
Fog just doesnt do enough, continually too slow to man up, cover off a zone or rove any potential pack.
Really tempted to throw mots under the bus but at least he has leg speed, just mentally too slow to get the ball to either hand or foot at times.
Pitto is lucky. How many ruck infringements before he adapts. HOK potential in.
Give me Wilson and give him the defensive forward role, Cerra back in?!
No idea who will cover HOF.
And could we please put the ball in the hands of Moo Moir Carroll and ZW after half time as well as the first half.

This will be ugly, Suns are a completely different beast this year.

Out: HOF, Fogarty(continues to offer absolutely nothing), Motlop(won't happen but should)
In: McGovern, Wilson, Charleson

Ollie to stay on a wing, Wilson takes the half back spot and push Cow further up the field with Charleson slotting in.

People were saying the same for freo, didnt happen

Saad concussion or just a broken nose ?

Given his recent head injuries I wouldn’t be shocked to see him rested

HOF knee obviously 😞

I would look at dropping a small forward for Cerra and I’d love to give HOK a run in place of Pitto (who been good)

I would only bring Gov into to play forward…not back. Young, Wieters and Haynes is tall enough…

Out: Saad, HOF, Motts, Pitto
In: Gov, Wilson, Cerra, HOK

Wilson - Wieters - Carroll
Cowan - L.Young - Haynes
TKD - Lord - Hewitt
Ollie - Cripps - Acres
Williams - McKay - Moir
Durds - HOK - White

Evans, Fog, Cerra, Gov, F Young

I have a feeling this could get ugly. They are one of the teams who has done a great job at creating a modern team with plenty of pace to burn. I think they will do to us what Adelaide usually do to us and just burn us with pace.

Saad Weitering McGovern
Wilson Haynes Hollands
Cowan Cripps Carroll
Young McKay White
Moir DeKoning Motlop
O'Keefe Lord Hewett
Williams Cerra Acres Evans
Fogarty
Durdin Charleson Young

We are going to have to rotate more through the middle. Been saying it for years, won't happen. Need to see Cripps, Lord, Cerra, Hewett, Fogarty, Acres and even Evans in there at times but forget it.

It is a quicker side than we are used to but I think we will get burnt for pace in a big way, it's still far from the better/quicker sides in the comp, which GCS are one. The forward line is bare bones for talent. Neiter of those rucks are forwards. Young, Fogarty and white are more back up level AFL/VFL players who compete hard. Motlop threatens to do something but doesn't do a great deal. Moir has talent and they will know that and keep him quiet. McKay is a lone man and not in form.

I'd like to see Cowan and Carroll on wings. Both have pace, footy smarts, win contests and can kick. It just makes sence. But we will get Hollands and Acres who don't have those traits in a strong way.

I think Hollands looks more natural in defence than wing. He just does not get it playing wing. Wilson and Saad can run. Cown and Carroll will drop back and do well playing this way. McGovern can obviously play and Haynes is in really good form.

Durdin I could not fit in, as I said last week, should be playing on the ball to try give us more pace and agility in there. Charleson should debut before season ends but not this week. He and Ben Camporeale I would debut next week. Would consider Lemmy to debut then as well if fit.

Lewis Young is just a low level AFL player. Pittonet and DeKoning doesn't work. O'Keefe needs games so there is an opportunity there to get more footy into him.

It will be a big test, playing a seriously good and big up and coming side who have fully embraced pace and modern football. Get them on the right day and we will be competative, get them on the wrong day and they will roll us by around 100 points. We will have to win a lot of contested ball and find a way to slow them down.

Almost wouldn't bother with Cerra for the rest of the season. There's very little to be gained by playing him.
We seem to have 31 players available at the moment, so your wishes can wait.
We dont want McGovern triggering his contract extension
Surely if it's such an issue, we can renegotiate it to a 2-year contract at reduced wages. We are flogging him, like a few others, it's not all on him and I'm tired of this rhetoric.

Put 2 Freo first halves together (4 qtrs) and I still reckon we could beat anyone (even though we are missing 1 5 11 17 18 20 24 30 46 to injury).

Great, pick 23 others then.

Losing Cerra to an ACL in a pointless late season game would be diabolical for next year.
