Who would want DeGoey in all honesty? He's been troubled with injury for a while until recently and isn't getting younger or faster. I'm not sure if whatever the club got out of trading him would even be worth it, depending on how he's valued externally.

This reeks of journos having very little to talk about at the pointy end of the trade period. I'm interested nontheless

Agree with your last point though realistically I could see him fitting in at Adelaide, Hawks, Geelong or Gold Coast. They can win enough games at home where they can manage him throughout the season.

Internal development is nice, but every club has that possibility. It's also still there if we add a player, we just have a stronger list overall.

The club is trying its best to add someone that will make us better. It was the stated goal at the start of trade period to add a mid and it seems we're still working towards that.

If we can find a best 23 player, it's better than holding onto picks, especially given the loss of Mihocek.

I don’t buy into it at all. Are the older blokes going to die or something? If they’re on the list they are still high producing players that are the same old farts that had us a balls deep in a prelim this year. If we have a Brisbane like ball tickle with injury and get full years out of DeGoey, Beau, Howe to name 3, I don’t see why we can’t be right up there again. The ****n media fapping over our age is going to be the worst part about next year. Meanwhile Geelong have 5 or 6 old farts and it never gets mentioned.
