Where's the chat about him playing wing coming from?

Everything I've seen and read so far from both club and player suggest he's a genuine forward and likely best suited as such.

Yeah Wallsy sees both of them as forwards who can go through the midfield.

It's odd but being able to play multiple positions will get your drafted, so you can then play one position at AFL level. Multiple roles, but you tend to end up in the same part of the ground - unless you're a Banfield. Then you find yourself on the other side of the country because your club didn't have enough list spots to take you for free.
