Some good kids coming through the program this year.
Outside of the obviously look for Noah Willits, Archer Lancaster, Chase Poyser, Sonny Beasy (when he's not playing school football) and Jarrell Ratcliffe to be a pretty good support act through the midfield.
Utilities Jack Bell and Angus Hoyne will hopefully have a big impact switching from either end of the field and Eamon Austin has done a power of work this off-season as a small forward option.
There's some good 2027 options as well with Max Thompson and Riley Travaglia coming through the ranks (amongst others) both having some high-end qualities.
Also Joel Turner and Doug Billings are two of the tallest players I've seen in the program in my time here and would both be over 200 cm. Hopefully that translates into some ruck dominance to help our mids.
This is a pretty well-balanced list and going to be pretty exciting to see what they can achieve.
Hoping to expand the media for the club substantially this year as well.

Forgive my ignorance but I was surprised when I saw the announcement of the Talent League fixture for 2026 that it was a 23 round competition. For how long has this been the case? Has it been expanded due to the inclusion of fixtures with the Northern Academies teams (and now others like the Bachar Houli Foundation team)? Was staggered that we're asking kids (presumably many of whom are in Year 12) to do what is effectively a full AFL season in their draft year (plus whatever other local club, rep or assorted matches they're roped into).

Agree but I did notice that each club has a number of byes - I looked at Oakleigh and they have 8 byes!

Ah okay - 15 odd games seems more reasonable but now sure why so many byes. Thanks for clarifying.
probably trying to space the season out from March - Sept to try to avoid APS and actually get some games into the best players

When are rest of the squads coming out. Knights are always one of the last. Surely with games in 3 weeks they know thier squads.

A game and B game for the 2 squads with the most numbers (25 per side)

A game won comfortably by Oakleigh. Dominated the 2nd half and moved the ball well.

B game won comfortably by Sandy...highlights the depth in the squad (or the lack of top-age depth in the Oakleigh squad)
