"for the 1:15pm slot"38k at the scg is excellent for the 1:15pm slot against a bottom 4 side.
Yes.........The weather's the reason for the poor standard in this game...Eagles Vs Bombers I think is sold out but they’re expecting 20mm+ of rain and 50km an hour winds and an awful forecast which is a pity because it will mean the standard of the game will be pretty ordinary
I think you will find that over the last few years the swans average home crowds are better on Sunday's then they are on Saturday's."for the 1:15pm slot"
I dont like comments like this. Different clubs perform differently in different time slots. Saturday Afternoon being a good slot for Sydney.
For example
Adelaide at Adelaide Oval - 43,741
Adelaide at Adelaide Oval Thursday Night - 46,342
Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval - 37,882
Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval Thursday Night - 35,643
1 club is 2.6k above average, the other is 2.2k below average
On the Saturday afternoon slot.
I believe it should only be hosted by 12 teams
The 10 Victorian teams, Sydney and Port Adelaide.
Saturday afternoon is traditional for state football. Hence why it makes sense for Victoria/Port Adelaide as it's the traditional timeslot for the clubs.
Whereas Sydney is huge for childrens sports on Sundays. Saturday has always been the logical option IMO for the Swans. location can be hard for Thursday/Friday Nights. Junior Football a hinderence to draw on Sunday. I believe most games there should be Saturday as there's a sizable obstacle to crowds in all other timeslots. (Other than maybe Sunday Twilight, but that seems to be given to Perth - Which makes sense when they're not a juggernaught)

To be fair the weather is pretty crazy out there today with the wind blowing a gale - plenty of reports of gardens sheds in pools and trampolines blowing down the road.Yes.........The weather's the reason for the poor standard in this game...
Maybe kicks might be blown the right the way so they hit a targetTo be fair the weather is pretty crazy out there today with the wind blowing a gale - plenty of reports of gardens sheds in pools and trampolines blowing down the road.
Gunna be a pretty crappy game to watch….
Where it ranks for Melbourne home games at TIO.6,374 was the TIO attendance for Melbourne’s game against us according to Channel 7. Significantly bigger crowd than the 3,413 that saw our one and only game in TIO vs Melbourne. 4th biggest attendance for a Melbourne game in TIO
