Crop didn't look so bad for us this year until the champs...It is a bit early but looks like a better crop of west Aussies.
There really can be so much movement through the course of a year. The slide of rodriguez couldn't be a better example.

It would be great if you could sticky a list of our F/S and NGA players so they are easier to keep track of and to stop people asking if player xyz is linked to us.A note regarding this thread and the intent behind it before people start going too far down unrelated rabbit holes
The purpose of this thread is to discuss the 2026 draft cohort as we watch their development throughout next year. It’s designed to be an informative thread, contributed to by posters who are keen watchers of underage football and have excellent knowledge/insight for the rest of us to learn from.
If you’ve got questions on the cohort overall and/or a particular player(s) this is where you can raise them. Obviously, anyone who has their own thoughts/observations are more than welcome to share them
What this thread is not intended for, is unhelpful discussion/arguments over past events - the thread will be more tightly moderated than elsewhere and repeat offenders who can’t follow a simple instruction won’t have a long lifespan here.
So discuss away, but stay on topic because I don’t want an endless stream of messages from AsterixTheGaul about posters that can’t stay in the correct lane

Futbolista might know a few more.Kyan Perera, the Subiaco speedster and son of former Sri Lanka international cricketer Suresh, is another WCE NGA to watch.
He may choose cricket as his preferred sport but being named in the 2025/26 WAFL 18's summer squad will at least give him some encouragement to pursue footy.
Super quick small forward.
I'm pretty sure Ryder is 2025. Perera is 2026. Jeez Perera is fast. Hopefully a vid comes up early in season 2026 and everybody will go wow. Don't choose cricket mate. Choose footy.
All those blokes plus perera. spot on mate. If Banfield grows likes his older brother then WCE might have a ripper. Got to select them though. The non-selecation of Charlie was a joke tbhBest of my knowledge other NGA's are:
Cody Lee/fwd/193
Jamayson Ketchup/sf/hf/178
Damien Newry/sf/174
About 11 NGA's.
FS's
Harper Banfield/mid/181
Noah Braun/sf/hf/179
cheers, hope Newry comes back down from the Kimberley for colts next year if he is as good as some suggest. All those blokes plus perera. spot on mate. If Banfield grows likes his older brother then WCE might have a ripper. Got to select them though. The non-selecation of Charlie was a joke tbh
I’m quite keen to find out who WCE kept on with the new rules and track their progress through the season, particularly after Leon Kickett being drafted as an overager, there says a lot to being that little bit older and determined. Here are the NGA and FS prospects I am aware of coming through in 2026

Keys - happy if you want to sticky this at the top of the thread
With his athleticism can Kehn become a winger/midfielder?I'd advise people to not get particularly attached to any particular NGA/FS, because we now know we'll pass on them if the club rates another player higher.
I don't expect that to happen though...
Having said that, if Shanahan and McGlade come on, those 2 will go a ways to addressing some holes in our list(small forward/KPD).
Kenh's the interesting one. We have quite a lot of options off HB now(queue board memes...) so will WCE go for him, despite potentially not playing in a position of any great need? I wonder if he gets played in other roles next year? I like the look of him and hope we pick him up(assuming he continues his development and doesn't do a Wes Walley) but will the Eagles think the same way?
Would be good for him to explore that next season. With his athleticism can Kehn become a winger/midfielder?
Not looking likely, probably with our 2nd rounder but it would be eaten up matching Kenh bid I’d imagine. I don’t have him in the first round right nowI am more interested to know if Koby Lecras will be ranked top 10 next year and would we have the pick to do draft him?
A lot of fwd’s and small ones.
Thanks for this. Heaps of many small forwards and no mids in the NGA?
Elijah Williams is at Claremont.

What’s your take on Braun? Where is his projected draft value?
Not even close to a state inviteThanks for this. Heaps of many small forwards and no mids in the NGA?

A backline with Lindsay, Kenh, Hough and Ginbey for 10 years sounds very nice
