What if every swan at the game started chanting Sydney and drown the music out , or the club should do a poll with membersHappy New Year - may the music after goals disappear and our goals be plenty.

I get the feeling that Serong and Rosas stand a very good chance of being in the 23 in Rd 0 and Cootee a good chance to debut during the year.Lloyd, Rampe and Cunningham have all been great servants of the club. Have given their all. In saying that, I hope that none of them are in the top 23 by mid season and other options have gone past them as offering more.
Will be interested to see how the younger brigade of players take their chance, particularly in the back half. Snell, Andrew, Kyle, Edwards among others.
Edit: A 23 I'd like to see by the end of the year:
B: Wicks - Melican or Serong - Bice
HB: McInerney - McCartin - Blakey
C: Jordan - Mills - Gulden
HF: Cleary - McDonald - Datolli
F: Papley - Curnow - Rosas
Foll: Grundy - Heeney - Ch. Warner
I/C: One of Ladhams or Amartey - (7th forward and also back up ruck) - One of Rowbottom or Sheldrick (4th inside mid) - Campbell (3rd outside mid/winger) - Kyle (7th defender) - Cootee (utility livewire)
Won't happen due to names left out such as Roberts, McLean, one of Rowbottom or Sheldrick and the three veterans mentioned at the start of the post. Also the inexperience of players like Kyle and Cootee but the general idea of it is I'd like to see a more dynamic and fast paced team, as opposed to the 'one-pacedness' of the players omitted.
Also younger types specifically in the front half like Cleary, Datolli and Cootee would help to add more pressure on the opposition than we have had previously and also some extra zip around the ground.
Will be curious to see if the two rookies Kyle and Cootee in particular can make any type of impression early in the year in the VFL.
Three dogs and a great man.
Three dogs and a great man.
I remember Buddy talking about being the subject of racism when he was growing up. He rarely if ever talked about it. Brought tears to my eyes. Even the great man can be subjected to extreme cowardice. Racists are cowards.Id go with:
One dog (Carey)
One flawed individual (Neale)
One solid redemption arc (Cousins)
One truly great man (Goodes)
Utterly gross. Some people really are turds to put stuff like this up. I realise it's mainly to elicit responses like mine and get more clicks, but even so, some people are grubs.
Absolutely p!$$ poor
You've just given them an idea: "You Can't Stop the Music" after every goal...Happy New Year - Wishing a healthy, prosperous and successful (especially for our team) 2026 to all.
They won't stop the music so let's drown it out with our ''Sydney" chanting!
Who actually wants itYou've just given them an idea: "You Can't Stop the Music" after every goal...
What if every swan at the game started chanting Sydney and drown the music out , or the club should do a poll with members
Who did they discuss it with , might need to go to PavThey think it's a nightclub, they don't care about fans chanting. Cheer squad already discussed it with them & they still continued with the music. They'd play music throughout the game if they were allowed.
Next d heads will be chanting deeefenceIt's just like the basketball now.
Just wait until the score is 6 goals 7 behinds...Next d heads will be chanting deeefence
