Going back more than a few years now during my first trip to LA the hostel I stayed at offered trips to Six Flags Magic Mountain and I went with a few I had made friends with during the stay

There was one rollercoaster we were looking to go on - we wanted to do all the big ones, but it had some issues in the morning which were then seemingly rectified and it was back operational in the afternoon. We were lining up to go on one coaster and we could see this other particular coaster from the line - while waiting we watched this other one stop again mid trip with people on board. Part of the train stopped with support platform underneath it, but most of it had folks with feet dangling in mid air as it was just the track underneath them and about to go over a drop

As much as we all wanted to go on that particular ride, as soon as we all witnessed the we were all in agreeance that that one was off the to do list
